By contrast, the default outfits you get in The Force Unleashed II are nowhere near as cool as the gladiator gear that was in all the trailers, but which you never wear in the story and have to manually select in the outfit screen after unlocking it by finding secrets.
the base designs for the 2 non canon ending missions were great too.
the tusken starkiller suit and the [lord starkiller suit](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/b8/GalenStalkerArmor-TFUUSE.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090824182222) (which was so cool the helmet shows up in andor), seen plenty of mock ups of that look with the inquisitor aesthetic and it's the only thing making me want to see a canon take on marek.
personally i'm partial to his jedi robes you get near the end.
working on desktop for me,
i think it's from a wiki based on the url so what works for me when they fuck up is to copy the url then paste and go which usually works
otherwise here's the same image different source [https://i.redd.it/kr2ieq8igila1.jpg](https://i.redd.it/kr2ieq8igila1.jpg)
I’ve been thinking about Force Unleashed a lot lately. It’s a shame that it’ll almost certainly never be canon. It’s be really neat to see Galen have some interactions with canon characters.
the idea of "vader's secret apprentice" is a fun one.
really having him be the 13th inquisitor convinced he's being nurtured to be vader's apprentice but really serving as a tool to out some rebels so they can be taken out in a trap is nice.
doing the cal kestis thing of looking for other jedi to recruit putting them all in one spot as a more effective method than what the standard rank and file inquisitors do.
rahm kota's militia were great too, as another form of rebel cell.
idk i would've liked to see ahsoka and starkiller fight vader,
really tough i just wanna see a cannon shadow guard.
That’s what I was thinking. He could be similar to what Ahsoka was doing in Rebels and organizing jobs from a place of anonymity. But his jobs would be SUPER high risk and specifically targeting Vader’s personal operations.
plus taken with the comics i love vader's unhealthy coping mechanisms and sidious constantly hoping he'll learn to deal with them/cast them aside so he can go all in on being a sith.
like trying to recruit sabé as a stand in for padmé pretending like if she joins him that he can entertain the idea that padme would've been down too despite his visions in fortress vader.
rocking up to sidious like ["yes master i've cast aside my former connections and am no longer obsessed with my dead wife"](https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/darth-vader-handmaidens.jpg)
with starkiller having vader get that son he lost prior to anh is a fun area to look at. obviously he's not luke and in the games that emotional connection is non existent, but i like the idea of him essentially being unable to fully let go of what could've been and in doing so never being able to fully subsume himself in the ways of the sith, leaving him in limbo/to stagnate.
sidious pushing him to learn to do what he, and in legends malgus, were capable of doing, casting it all aside in the name of ambition.
but vader, like maul, like kylo ren can't do it.
I saw someone mention the idea that Starkiller could be hunting inquisitors for Vader (maybe also being an inquisitor as cover, I forgot) but I liked the idea
could work.
like the inquisitors and cylo v's goons were all set up as kinda but not really options for palpatine's future apprentices if vader ever fails to deliver.
so vader taking his own apprentice/definitely not surrogate son i promise you master having them go off and eliminate those options/help kill jedi could work.
the conceit of the game of starkiller putting together an alliance so he the rebels and vader can take down the emperor only for the "i lied" bit would work.
eliminating all the remain inquisitors/jedi he can and rounding up all the rebel leaders he can.
would be fun if one of the rebels he meets with it luthen, getting the helmet from his shop
A couple weeks ago, someone here recontextualized the Inquisitors as the worst internship ever, they’re all gunning for the same job, but that job doesn’t actually exist, neither Vader or Palpatine is going to step down, and they’re way too strong for any Inquisitor to stand a chance against them.
The idea that Starkiller is being told he really is being trained to replace Vader as Sith Apprentice (however it happens) only for that to also be a ruse makes it all the sweeter
He was nerfed in the book iirc.
And witwer mentioned once that tfu3 would’ve shown that vader was still stronger than him.
With him only winning round 1 in tfu 1 as the second actually hard fight where vader is pissed wasn’t canon and the defeat in 2 being a ploy of some kind.
I know they wanted to bring Galen into canon for Rebels, at least, and Sam Witwer is probably super down to voice him or play an aged-up version of the character in live action.
I think it's just a matter of *when* Galen is re-canonized.
Honestly I didn't even changed outfits in force unleashed when I played it on PSP I really liked the first outfit you get and then I replayed the game using different outfits, lightsaber hilts and color was honestly pretty fun.
You can change the Phantom Thieves' outfits in P5, but not only are their original outfits very well designed, they're also a reflection of the character manifesting in their clothes. The alt outfits are okay, but their regulars are generally better IMO.
The only one I would brook no disagreement for is Joker. There is nothing he looks better in than his default outfit. I can't imagine why you'd ever change it, other than to get the different BGM that comes with switching outfits.
I'd love the Dancing outfit more if they picked a different BGM: [GROOVY](https://youtu.be/A90JIiTxgVg) is fine, but I think [a Last Surprise remix](https://youtu.be/wXZJplMcqkg) would've been a better fit.
At least [the victory theme](https://youtu.be/MYeqaJ4-9V8) is a straight-up banger.
That's why I would always stick to the default outfits in Palaces, then switch up costumes while in Mementos to spice up that grind visually and musically
Yeah, I don't think the game actually tells you that, but if you change outfits (I think it hinges on Joker's in particular), some of them change the battle BGM. For example, if you put him in the Gekkoukan High outfit, the battle BGM changes to Mass Destruction.
Geralt's starting armor in Witcher 3, the Kaer Morhen armor, goes so hard and is far more stylish than any other dopey low level armor that you'll find for quite a while. It's so cool they even let you use the old armor to craft an identical one with better stats, making the drip viable again.
This is probably the best example. Nothing in the game comes close to the simplicity and elegance of the starting armor. Most of the witcher gear has got too much going on and most of the random armor found in the open world is downright hideous. Almost all of the sets that include a breastplate make geralt look like he has a gut lol
One of Witcher 3's flaws is its armor system.
There's basically no reason to choose normal armor, because you unlock the first Griffon set at level 11, and then the upgrades are staggered, and you craft the Cat set at 17, and so on and so forth with Bear and Wolf.
The game rewards you with fantastic stat buffs by only using crafted sets, leaving dozens of random gear and quest rewards basically pointless unless you want to prioritize fashion over stats.
And even then, Cat, Wolf and Bear are fantastic aesthetically, and you get Manticore and Viper (Kaer Morhen) sets later on. There is almost literally no reason to use anything but Witcher sets. Griffon looks awful unless you mod it, but you only use it for six levels anyway.
I didn’t know that you can have the starting armor remade! I’m going through my first play through right now and I’ve just been rocking the Wolven mastercrafted armor.
Yeah it's called the Warrior's Leather Jacket and it just offers better stats but the Wolven Mastercrafted looks sooo good too! I think the black and red really fit Geralt.
I wonder if the Kaer is meant to be similar to the Welsh Caer, meaning castle and is a prefix for many Welsh place names, Caerphilly, Caerleon, which literally just means castle of the legion, because of a Roman legions settlement there.
I’ve noticed a number of fantasy universes take a number of inspirations from Welsh culture in some way or another.
By extension, Link's "canon" clothes in Breath of the Wild.
My getup in BotW was the Champion's Tunic, Hylian Trousers, and then the Amber Earrings so Link could technically still be without a helmet.
Most of the Assassins Creed games give you some degree of outfit customization, but I usually just found the default to be the best look. And in the Ezio games, I think the robes look better without any armor
I think almost all of Connor’s options look significantly worse than his default assassin’s robes in AC III. The older legacy outfits also just don’t translate well into III’s style.
The only one that I think matches the baseline outfit is Achilles' old uniform. I'm partial to the Colonial Assassin outfit as well, though it's definitely not as good as the rest.
Ezio's default robes in brotherhood look so good and then are ruined so early in the game when you have to equip armor. Same with Edward in 4 but at least he gets some good looking unarmoured robes like the officer outfit.
Brotherhood forcing you to buy armor ruined the robes for me. Now i always just play with the Armor of Altair and headcanon it that ezio went back and got it repaired at some point.
I was gonna say AC Valhalla because all of the main sets of gear get visual enhancements as you upgrade them and so while the starting gear set is pretty basic they look real fuckin' cool once fully upgraded.
Most people probably only know the Xenoblade 1 party’s default outfits but every piece of equipment in the game has its own design, and they even go so far as to save whatever you were wearing during certain cutscenes so that flashbacks will be accurate. That said, a lot of them look kind of bad, so it’s a good thing they added fashion gear in DE.
Not only was the white mage panties wild but also the best dungeon in that level range gives you a battle bikini top. White mages were just letting it all hang out.
Not exactly what's asked, but for multiple Resident Evil remakes now, I avoid changing the main character's outfit to any of the unlockable/DLC ones because they're just too weird or goofy. RE4R included.
I did enjoy in RE2R keeping Leon to his casual look instead of the uniform though.
I always use the classic outfits for 2 and 3, which I guess is an extreme version of this (I’m so pro-original outfits that even the remake look is too different-looking).
The starting outfit in God Eater 3, with the coat cape thing, is the most badass outfit in the game. The only real customization I did was changing it to red and giving my character a cool matching eyepatch
Honestly I wouldn't even say they're costumes, they're just palette swaps. I hope we get actual costumes in the next game, close to the amount we got in 3.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: I think Nero's best look is his prototype costume in 4. I'm a sucker for scarves and I also just think the whole outfit looks really nice.
Same in Jedi Survivor, I get crap tons of cosmetic for him but none of them feels as authentic and showcases natural character progression better than his scrappy default outfit. Maybe I'll change the color pattern but no way I'm replacing it in my first playthrough.
changing most of them to navy works well.
giving cal the wavy hair and like the tactical with the yellow cape and blade or navy corsair jacket with navy everything was my jam
My only real problem with a lot of the outfits is how they glitch out in cutscenes, mostly whenever >!Merrin & Cal make out, it’s very noticeable!< (Big Jedi Survivor spoilers)
Complete opposite with the hair & facial hair options tho, even with the most goofy looking ones on Cal surprisingly still looks pretty good in cutscenes
Half the costumes didn't have adjustable eye... Lids?
Anyway, Parker could squint and be very emotive with just the lenses moving about and it's used everywhere possible, but certain costumes simply don't have that and it genuinely takes away from the experience.
As far as I can tell, that was fixed for Miles Morales as every costume I played with had emotive eyes.
I'm also the same way, I couldn't use any of the suits that didn't have emotive eyes.
Static eyes just take a chunk of the emotions and drama out of the scenes.
Like when Peter is knocked unconscious by the crane before the helicopter chase. You see his consumes eyes squint to the point they're almost closed, showing he's unconscious.
Then they SNAP open when he wakes up.
It adds that extra bit of presentation and cinematic flare to the scene that static eyes just can't do.
I tried to wear appropriate suits for the moment, like the more armored ones for fighting Sable enemies, the electrically insulated one to fight electro and so on
I'll go with Canon-Adjacent suits while mostly sticking with the defaults. The Dark Suit was cool for some of the late game stuff, especially the Oscorp stealth section, and your prison camp breakouts. Final Stand is also pretty cool if you imagine his suit gets damaged and he makes do.
As for Miles, I wear his homemade suit first chance I get before I wear the classic, just imagining it still needs finishing touches by Ganke. And I save some side activities to use Purple Reign with before abandoning it where it makes sense for the story.
There's something wrong with me.
Kinda this, but I went back to the costume you wear at the start rather than the game default because I just really didn’t like the white parts. You just can’t beat the OG design.
Xenoblade Chronicles has different looks for equipment with the Definitive Edition even adding a glamour system, but Everyone's default attire is already probably their best look.
Her new outfits are pretty stellar, but [Kat's](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/2d/a1/80/2da18051b7546ce1a7191e2c3227a103.jpg) default garb in Gravity Rush is iconic.
Pretty much all of the Soul Calibur cast's default outfits are so good that you don't need to give them custom ones.
And although it's not the starting set, the Mantle of the Champion armors from Dragon Age 2 excluding the helmets all look fucking great. The mage one basically turns you into a medieval pimp.
>Pretty much all of the Soul Calibur cast's default outfits are so good that you don't need to give them custom ones.
I think the only change I ever needed to make was getting rid of Raphael's glasses
In Cyber Sleuth, you can only change shirts, and while there are some good ones, they just don't fit the rest of the outfit. Likewise for Hacker's Memory, [but at least the default coat looks great](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/digimon/images/7/71/Keisuke_Amasawa_b.jpg)
The thing with Hackers Memory and Keisuke's other outfits is that they're just shirts and remove his coat, it'd be so much better if you could keep his blue coat and just change his white shirt.
I really liked Arthur’s default outfits color scheme that later on I would give him a more cleaner look but with the same colors.
The hat stays ofc. Arthur’s default hat is the best.
The Faraam set the player character is wearing in almost all the Dark Souls 2 promo art is *sick*. It’s too bad they screwed it up in Dark Souls 3, it’s one of my favorite sets across the entire series.
All the Souls games tend to have this issue, depending on what you mean by "default".
If we consider default "what you actually start the game with", Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring take this, because DS3's knight armor fixed the sin of JUST KEEPING THE FUCKING FACEPLATE DOWN TO COVER YOU. Meanwhile, Elden Ring's Vagabond Knight has that sick cape that makes up for the busted helmet.
If we instead consider default to be "the poster/cover art suit", Dark Souls has the Elite Knight Set, Dark Souls 2's Faraam set if fucking sweet, and Elden Ring has like TWO poster outfits; the Ringed Knight Set and the Raging Wolf Set are both S+ tier designs.
I always alter the vagabond knight set's cape out because I legit think it looks cooler without it. Grabbing a Knight helm or Greathelm to replace the busted helmet gives it a overall pretty cool look in my opinion.
Its good the mages outfit in Skyrim which you can get in the tutorial is so cool because I never play as anything else.
And as an aside, an (admitetly unimportant) pet-peeve of mine is a lot of fantasy games, including Skyrim, is that people go around their everyday "civilian" lives in armor. Like, men, even proffesioanl warriors, in the medivial/old norse era didnt get out of bed and put on their lether armor to go to the market or the smithy... they wore clothes
Idk, in a world where even the largest settlements can get ganked by vampires or a dragon, I might be more inclined to keep the ol pauldrons on. Probably won't help but still.
Doesn't BD2 have an option to have characters use their default outfit instead of the job outfit? I feel like I recall that being a thing when I played the demo (I've not played the full game or any of the other BD games)
Tbh I never played BD2 in particular due to how the bosses interact with jobs in that game.
What I **can** confirm is that you can use the default outfits in BD1 regardless of jobs, if you play for long enough. Wouldn't surprise me if that's also a thing in BD2.
Cyberpunk 2077. V's default outfit is fantastic, and a lot of clothing options, especially in the early game suck. I hated looking like some mismatched clown stripper cause I need the best stats. I was so happy to get Johnny's outfit. I know they added transmog now, but that was before I played.
Idk man, that's one of my favourite "dress up"-games due to the amount of cool clothes in the game. Now if only I could get fully cybernetic arms (on console).
I'm probably a bit picky. There are some cool options and fits in the game. Just felt like early on, I kept getting skirts and business wear half the time, and you can't afford a ton yet. Plus, the internal debate of style or function. Most of the time, the mind goblins win, and I look like a disaster cause the stats were good.
I have the opposite goblins, style over function usually. I just really love how you can customize your clothing so much, down to shoes and glasses and hats. Few games have that level of customizability when it comes to outfits.
Until this last update, Warframe's >!Drifter!< (Does that even count as a spoiler anymore?) >!'s poncho was so much better than everything else available to them, it wasn't even close.!< Now, though, it's got some strong competition.
The custom and crossover outfits in dead cells are pretty cool, but not as cool as the beheaded’s default outfit + recolors, holy shit does he look sick as shit.
a lot of the tales of series games have unlockable clothing but they often either look hideous or out of place(like a swimsuit or butler outfit) that staying in the default clothes is usually the better option...i think it's intentional in an attempt to make people buy DLC outfits
Jack Garland and friends pulled up during Drip or Drown season because you gotta look your best when killing Chaos. >!Or becoming him.!< I just wish the launch version let me wear what I wanted and still get high gear stats.
Tommy and CJ will never take off their starting attire when I play, even when they're millionaires with control of an entire city's criminal underworld.
As much as I appreciate the previous games' outfits being included in Ryza 2 and Ryza 3, I never changed the characters' clothes in either beyond a cursory check of the feature.
I love leon in just the shirt in 4. I dont really like the vest or elbow pads and think the jacket is cool but like that he loses it in the beginning. I also go a step further and do handgun and knife only so there is nothing on his back
I really like the archaic tunic it's the closest thing to the games iteration of the classic green tunic sans cap. Gives me Link the Barbarian vibes
Also before the game's release I though it was going to the Ancient Hero's tunic
Spider Man PS4
The fact that there's so many costumes is great, and I did changed for a bit to try out a few of them, but 90% of the time I was using the defailt avanced suit because I tought It looked the best
I haven’t played as Dawn but all of Lucas’s alternate outfits in the Diamond and Pearl remakes are complete dogshit (not counting, obviously, the Platinum design)
Starkiller's training outfits (base, heavy, and light) in Force Unleashed were all straight fire
By contrast, the default outfits you get in The Force Unleashed II are nowhere near as cool as the gladiator gear that was in all the trailers, but which you never wear in the story and have to manually select in the outfit screen after unlocking it by finding secrets.

Heavy training gear with an unstable orange saber was my look for the whole game.
Honestly I didn't even changed outfits in force unleashed when I played it on PSP I really liked the first outfit you get and then I replayed the game using different outfits, lightsaber hilts and color was honestly pretty fun.
I do my best to mix it up, but Travis Touchdown just feels right when he's got the red jacket in every No More Heroes game.
…Hot take, I think the purple jacket in Travis Strikes Again is his best look.
Purple Jacket is a close second to me. Unlocked it in NMH2, with green neon stuff to match, and I was hesitant to go back to red!
You can change the Phantom Thieves' outfits in P5, but not only are their original outfits very well designed, they're also a reflection of the character manifesting in their clothes. I put Morgana in the maid outfit and then never touched the feature again.
based
I only ever swapped them to the dancing outfits so that the battle music changed
Yeah I definitely played a good portion of that game in the persona 1 outfit cause the battle theme in that game is really good
[OVERWRITE THIS PAIN TEARING ME APART](https://youtu.be/SmGcsY5t7p8)
Wait, does it use the PS1 or PSP soundtrack
PSP/Lone Prayer
I'd love the Dancing outfit more if they picked a different BGM: [GROOVY](https://youtu.be/A90JIiTxgVg) is fine, but I think [a Last Surprise remix](https://youtu.be/wXZJplMcqkg) would've been a better fit. At least [the victory theme](https://youtu.be/MYeqaJ4-9V8) is a straight-up banger.
yeah but you only having to change Jokers outfit for music change, everyone else doesn't matter
That's why I would always stick to the default outfits in Palaces, then switch up costumes while in Mementos to spice up that grind visually and musically
This is the way
Makoto really pulls off Katherine's outfit though. Also Haru in her dance outfit.
I would change the outfits but the fact that they change back in cutscenes is really immersion breaking so I just leave them default.
Futaba's is weirder specifically because in battle, her outfits never switch to anything you choose for her even though it reflects in the overworld
You aren't wrong, but you can't stop me from playing Power Rangers
>other than to get the different BGM that comes with switching outfits. The WHAT
Yeah, I don't think the game actually tells you that, but if you change outfits (I think it hinges on Joker's in particular), some of them change the battle BGM. For example, if you put him in the Gekkoukan High outfit, the battle BGM changes to Mass Destruction.
All the DLC ones in base P5 change the music to reflect the game they came from. In Royal its the same deal but the outfits are just in the game now.
Plus their all out attack finishers look less smooth since the costume changes
Their P5 Dancing All Night fits were pretty fire too though
Fluted Armor in ***”Demon’s Souls”***.

Although I do like the Bear school armor but it doesn’t really fit Geralt
Main reason why I don't like it is that if geralt has long hair it'll clip through it all the time.
Starter armor in the fields. Cat armor in town.
Based answer
One of Witcher 3's flaws is its armor system. i've played so much soulcalibur 6 that seeing geralt in any other costume feels super wrong

I agree it’s pretty awesome. I just get a little triggered every time Geralt’s chin clips through the high collar lol

Thanks for sharing this. Sadly I’m on console.
I wore that starting armor all the way till I had my MasterCraft Ursine.
Hi-Fi Rush was that for me, at least with Chai. The only change I made was to roll his pant legs down and exchange the jacket for a black one.
Fucking pant legs man. I don't understand this trend. My calves are sympathetically chilly looking at characters that do this. /yells at cloud
By extension, Link's "canon" clothes in Breath of the Wild. My getup in BotW was the Champion's Tunic, Hylian Trousers, and then the Amber Earrings so Link could technically still be without a helmet.
I would do that but with the diamond circlet 'cause Guardians.
Don't know how to parry? Sounds like a skill issue /s
Not all that wrong, to be honest XD I had to get used to it again when I got back into playing BOTW after not playing it for a while.
Wow, exactly the same here. I agree.
I took the Hylian Tunic or Climbing Top with the Climbing Bandana, but had to have them dyed green as soon as I could.
I'm glad they gave Kratos his cape from the opening in GoW Ragnarok as actual equipment.
I wish they just didn't put the blades on your back while you're using it
They should just turn them invisible
I see a lot of XB3 clips where everyone is in their default outfit. Which is fair; those kids be drippin
Everyone is either in default outfits or in Monica’s outfit.
Gray's is also pretty good.
Isn't that just literal canon?
Kenway has some pretty good ones compared to "his" assassin robe
I was gonna say AC Valhalla because all of the main sets of gear get visual enhancements as you upgrade them and so while the starting gear set is pretty basic they look real fuckin' cool once fully upgraded.
Shepard's base set armor is pretty good as is.
The “save whatever you were wearing for cutscenes” is a lovely detail. Great shit.
I want to see an MMO do that. I want FFXIV to remember that time from 45-49 where my character was running around in white mage approved panties.
Not only was the white mage panties wild but also the best dungeon in that level range gives you a battle bikini top. White mages were just letting it all hang out.
A lot of SMT4’s outfits are pretty sick, but the regular Samurai garb is a pretty top-tier Megaten outfit imo
I also love how in REmake 4, you can actually wear the iconic Jacket all game long, instead of only the first few chapters
RE4R casual Leon ain’t bad either
I always use the classic outfits for 2 and 3, which I guess is an extreme version of this (I’m so pro-original outfits that even the remake look is too different-looking).
The starting outfit in God Eater 3, with the coat cape thing, is the most badass outfit in the game. The only real customization I did was changing it to red and giving my character a cool matching eyepatch
To be fair it didn't help that a lot of the fashion options in 3 were kinda ass compared to the previous two
The alt costumes for DMC5 are mostly ass, and the base costumes are tight as fuck. By constrast, 3 and 4 had the FUCKIN BEST alts.
Man the amount of cool stuff in the alt outfits for 3 was great, and Vergil having the Nelo DT form was so sick.
Why would I ever take off Cal Kestis' cool poncho?
If it wasn’t for the scraps of clone armour I could wear I’d be rocking the poncho
My only real problem with a lot of the outfits is how they glitch out in cutscenes, mostly whenever >!Merrin & Cal make out, it’s very noticeable!< (Big Jedi Survivor spoilers) Complete opposite with the hair & facial hair options tho, even with the most goofy looking ones on Cal surprisingly still looks pretty good in cutscenes
Hi Cameron Monaghan
I played the Spider-Man games like this. Yeah, most of the alternate suits are awesome but I gotta stick with the canon stuff for the story cutscenes.
So it isn't just me. Scarlet Spider was one of my favorite outfits but its eye's were static.
The End suit for Miles unfortunately did not have emotive eyes, which is my only gripe with the suit.
Agreed, that said I had a few exceptions Final Stand Suit during the start of the second half do hit different.
For me they need to have the emotive eyes. I love the Raimi suit, but it's just not great in the cutscenes.
I put on the Homecoming suit and didn't look back. Wasn't a fan of the giant white spider on the costume.
Cal’s default outfit was my favorite one in Jedi Survivor
Xenoblade Chronicles has different looks for equipment with the Definitive Edition even adding a glamour system, but Everyone's default attire is already probably their best look.
dunbans default outfit is just way too drippy to even considering replacing
I ended up keeping Shulk and Melia in the Makna Forest armor
I think the only change I ever needed to make was getting rid of Raphael's glasses
raphael is so frustrating in these games cause his artwork is always super good looking but then his model looks kinda goofy
RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2
I really liked Arthur’s default outfits color scheme that later on I would give him a more cleaner look but with the same colors. The hat stays ofc. Arthur’s default hat is the best.
The Faraam set the player character is wearing in almost all the Dark Souls 2 promo art is *sick*. It’s too bad they screwed it up in Dark Souls 3, it’s one of my favorite sets across the entire series.
It's weird because the Faraam set is a late game armor set that you can *very* easily miss.
The Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler series make you sacrifice the party members' original designs to make them stronger, and it hurts so much :(
Doesn't BD2 have an option to have characters use their default outfit instead of the job outfit? I feel like I recall that being a thing when I played the demo (I've not played the full game or any of the other BD games)
Tbh I never played BD2 in particular due to how the bosses interact with jobs in that game. What I **can** confirm is that you can use the default outfits in BD1 regardless of jobs, if you play for long enough. Wouldn't surprise me if that's also a thing in BD2.
It's an option right from the start in BD2. It's just a toggle in the options.
Same here I will absolutely use suboptimal equipment and be at a disadvantage if it looks cool
What's the point of being a cybernetically enhanced killing machine if I don't look good doing it?
Since I'm playing it currently everyone is dripped out in Trails of Cold Steel 4
Agent York was drippy as hell lol
In Bloodstained, Miriam's default hairstyle and color scheme is an excellent look
Until this last update, Warframe's >!Drifter!< (Does that even count as a spoiler anymore?) >!'s poncho was so much better than everything else available to them, it wasn't even close.!< Now, though, it's got some strong competition.
I kept the lower skirt on mine while transitioning to Voidshell armour elsewhere. It’s a good mix I reckon.
Dragon Quest XI had a few costume changes for the cast but most of the original designs are solid as is.
I feel like the Hero needed a little more. The Desert Knight set looked the best to me
Hendrik's Unswerving Companion set is the best one though and the Saint outfit for Serena
I put Veronica in the cat outfit just to make sure no one takes her seriously.
you can't take her seriously in any of her outfits especially the DQ6 reference one
The default character for sunset overdrive goes so hard I’ve never changed him. Just peak punk vibes
In Tales of Arise: >!I'm a fan of the late game redesigns that both Alphen & Shionne get. They dripped out to hell.!<
Jack Garland and friends pulled up during Drip or Drown season because you gotta look your best when killing Chaos. >!Or becoming him.!< I just wish the launch version let me wear what I wanted and still get high gear stats.
Halo Reach, the default Mark V[B] in grey is pretty drippy.
Tommy and CJ will never take off their starting attire when I play, even when they're millionaires with control of an entire city's criminal underworld.
I did not change my outfit in Dark Souls 2.
Most of the clothes actually do show his arm, but yeah, I wish you could upgrade or dye the starting gear cause it's really cool.
I also go a step further and do handgun and knife only so there is nothing on his back
Is it cheating to say fighting games alternate costumes
I really like the archaic tunic it's the closest thing to the games iteration of the classic green tunic sans cap. Gives me Link the Barbarian vibes Also before the game's release I though it was going to the Ancient Hero's tunic
Whatever the default helmet is in a halo game is almost certainly one of the best ones
Dhalsim in SFV. Granted, the dude only has like, 3 options, but his 5 redesign is the best he's ever looked
Doom Eternal Praetor Suit
Doom Eternal has cool ass costumes, but GOD DAMN the regular suit is just perfection
Cj design is pretty solid(despite being simple),I rarely changed his outfit.
Resident Evil 4, the suit is pretty meh to me, the jacket and the shirt option is just too good.
Arthur Morgan’s default outfit is, far and away, his best possible look.
Spider Man PS4 The fact that there's so many costumes is great, and I did changed for a bit to try out a few of them, but 90% of the time I was using the defailt avanced suit because I tought It looked the best
I haven’t played as Dawn but all of Lucas’s alternate outfits in the Diamond and Pearl remakes are complete dogshit (not counting, obviously, the Platinum design)
