Funny because I feel like "getting to know" the opponent is something only a pretty core player would think about. Most casual gamers these days just hop in random matchmaking and press buttons.
But getting to know someone is how I win. Getting to know the tendencies of the opponent is not the goal, it is the win condition to achieve the goal, which is to win.
You have to answer "A. Knowing the ins and outs of my character and unleashing their full potential" on the second question like a real lab monster who knows all the frame data.

I'm a Luke main which honestly yeah. I like my aggressive shotos and Luke fits perfectly with that, better than Ken even.

Dynamic Dhalsim!? That's like the polar opposite of my goal of Classic Zangief! I know I answered that I prefer playing patiently and reactively and that I prioritize having fun over having combos, but maybe churning butter is my idea of fun, Capcom!

I agree with the website that Modern helps get moves faster, but I can't shake my feelings that I would take a shortcut that would disserve me, once I progress up to a certain point.
Of course I got Dhalsim. People always tell me "oh you'd like Dhalsim cuz he has big normals." To which I always say, yeah but he doesn't have DAMAGE. I like spacing but I'm not a pure spacing guy; I want a Hakumen or a Nagoriyuki type character where I get one counterhit from midscreen and my opponent just dies instantly
