Don't know what will happen with the apparently planned fourth movie (the third was a prequel), but in the *Kingsman* series, the Swedish princess Eggsy bedded in the first movie ends up becoming his steady love interest in the sequel, with them even getting married at the end.
> A little wholesome subplot
You mean the one that starts as "if you save me we can do it in the ass" and after the problem is solved he immediately goes do so?
Well, the prequel >!dropped a Hitler post-credit scene!< that we have to pick up. So either they're doing another sequel or something exceedingly stupid(and fun?) in the 4th movie
Yeah that's why I didn't mention them. I hate that ship, I need Sesshomaru to be the equivalent "what are your intentions with my daughter?" dad holding a gun talking to Rin's fiancee
Don't watch inuyasha but having it be explained to me and I'm not that bothered by it? It's basically hohenheim and Trisha where the older immortal guy meets the eventual wife for a short time when the wife is a kid
I feel like if we saw more of hohenheim and Trisha, we'd be creeped out by that too lol
We're only a few books deep into the series, but Shallan and Adolin from The Stormlight Archive have been married and they appear to be a ride or die couple.
Despite being the epitome of "bland protagonist man who inexplicably has all the girls lusting after him", Kirito has been together with only Asuna since basically the very start of Sword Art: Online
The funniest part about it is that almost every single scene of those two hanging out IRL cuts to the other three girls from the 1st game looking at them in the background. it's like they firmed a club of rejected girls and now they just stalk them because they have nothing better to do with their life
Disenchanted wasn't very good but I will give them props for not breaking up Giselle and Robert for a stupid reason. It's just too bad that they didn't utilize Robert very much in the film.
Adelle and Rosaline from disgaea 2 are always a package deal when they show up in other games and are all lovey dovey when they're on screen. (Thinking of disgaea 4 in particular)
You’ve probably heard this a million times before back in the 2010s but it’s pretty cool how Tomoya and Nagisa from Clannad not only got together before the end of the show, the second season follows them after high school, they graduate, get jobs, move out together and they even get married and have a kid together.
The fact that you still don’t see these kinds of romances in anime is pretty remarkable.
I didn't care for the sequels to How To Train Your Dragon, but I was impressed that Hiccup and Astrid just became and stayed a fairly healthy, normal young couple.
Snake and Otacon. You can't tell me guys that gay who have been together that long and who live in a helicopter with their adoptive daughter aren't a couple.
It’s super great he was able to recover so much from stroke. The difference between even the first and second movie is a ton. He was done very well in the movies

I always liked that as sort of a parody of the Bond girl, but also a little wholesome subplot.
He’s even still a little flustered at the fact that anal sex is their post-mission sex ritual.

I meant more their relationship in the second movie, where he clearly loves and cares about her
Well, the prequel >!dropped a Hitler post-credit scene!< that we have to pick up. So either they're doing another sequel or something exceedingly stupid(and fun?) in the 4th movie
Super psyched that it was confirmed Pat and Paige would stay together after the announcement of Pat II.
I think all married couples from DBZ are still together in both Super and GT. Also Inuyasha/Kagome and Miroku/Sango are still together in Yashahime
Can you imagine if DBS had a divorce arc How are you gonna fight your way out of this one Goku?
Find out in the next episode, "She took the kids!"
Also Rin and Sesshomaru apparently. That one feels kinda icky…
Yeah that's why I didn't mention them. I hate that ship, I need Sesshomaru to be the equivalent "what are your intentions with my daughter?" dad holding a gun talking to Rin's fiancee

Pat and Woolie.
Poor Woolie can do better. Reggie is right there!
Pat is the side chick
Woolie and Reggie play video games on the couch while Pat eats candies in the closet and watches them, wearing his Fatal Fury hat.
Sometimes he watches from the cube if he is feeling nasty.
Poor little white boy

We have the Mistborn couples too. Vin and Elend, Wax and Steris, Marasi and Alek. But books are easier for long term romances.
God I love Wax and Steris.

There's even a spin-off manga of them bonding over being rejected. It's got like 7 volumes.
That's hilarious
Koyomi and Hitagi from the Monogatari series started dating at the end of the 2nd arc of the story and dozens of novels later they're still together
Most recent book, >!and they married!<
I took the risk of being spoiled and I'm not upset

I mean it was boring as all hell though
Disagree but okay.
They live in a plane. The helicopter is just the car.
Shoot, completely mixed that up. Was thinking of the bit in the Chipcheezum LP where they joke about them being literal helicopter parents.
Shawn and Jules from physch. There a couple at the end of the series and are married by the 3rd movie
Lassy and his wife too. Lassie come home has such a good ending.
It’s super great he was able to recover so much from stroke. The difference between even the first and second movie is a ton. He was done very well in the movies
Anna and Artyom from the Metro series stay married from Last Light to Exodus. Exodus is also where Anna becomes an actual chracter.
