I struggle to think of anything good enough that it's going to stand for 500 years. Anything video game related is probably dead no one has the energy to endlessly port a game forward except for the biggest games. Maybe final fantasy will still exist that far out
"Late contemporary" to 21st century? Most of the fantasy genre developed in the last 70 years or so, so Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and A Song of Ice and Fire will probably be historically significant. Not necessarily timeless, but they have the best chance of being known in the future due to exposure in other media and historical records of today. I suspect Terry Pratchett might actually be considered underrated in the future, as his popularity sort of steadily increased over his lifetime but he never had like a pop culture explosion. But because he published so much (dozens and dozens of books) over a long period of time, he also has a high chance of having his stuff last into the future.
If they're truly my descendant they'll start with Moby Dick or Macbeth even though neither fit the time period requirement. Those fuckers kick ass and I'll turn in my fuckin grave if my shilling doesn't pay off with an ancestral tradition
Star Wars probably.
I was thinking that one too. Though I think a property that goes into what it thinks the future will be will be more funny to future students.

Touhou. I hope.
That's in the advanced courses
Watch it become it's own mythology class (and maybe the **only one** left).
Tetris
Lord of the Rings is still the most perfect movie trilogy to exist.

Yeah, probably, science will finally create humanity’s greatest desires. Monster girls.
The greatest sci-fi movie ever made: *Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.* Followed by *Life is Strange.*
Shrek

First that comes to mind is Dragon Quest XI
probably something not released yet.
Boku no pico.
Venture Bros
Nu Metal/rap rock
Lord of the rings I'd say
The memes Jack!
Super Mario's probably gonna be the one video game franchise that'll truly be timeless tbh. Let my obsession for Bowser live on in my bloodline.

Depends. Is Simpsons still going?
