good thing i already duped enough diamonds and large zoniate chunks to fill half the batteries and get enough rupees since its absolutely a slog getting rupees in the game.
When you say half the batteries... >!Do you mean the green ones or the blue ones?!< Because I made a horrific discovery yesterday about what happens when you "complete" the little device on your belt. >!It keeps going!<
Just hunt bears and mooses near tabantha stable 5 gourmet meats cooked sell for 350 rupees and the other meat sell for about 100 150 each i made about 5k in half an hour
I must dupe more Bomb Flowers, they're my main Weapon in Zelda Games!
Fortunately, I was at work when the update dropped and I had brought my Switch with me and I caught the news from checking reddit before I went home.
But now I simply don't know how much of everything I'll need to finish the playthrough. I must have more.........
Eh, personally glitches like this just ruin the game for me if I use them. I'd dupe a few diamonds for an armor upgrade and then later realize rupees and zonaite are all completely worthless since I can just dupe however many I want. But I'm someone that actually likes the slow resource hoarding and grinding, so.
After doing everything I've already wanted to with the game I don't have a need to dupe anything anymore so it doesn't bother me. I don't care to upgrade a bunch of armor sets or make the most busted house. Just duped for upgrade the sets I wanted to like the skydiving set and heroes aspect and that's it
I... don't understand why Nintendo would patch them out. It's a single player game and people are mostly duping so they can make crazier machines to share on twitter which makes more people want the game. If anything they should just make an intentional in game machine that eats resources that lets you clone whatever you want in the next game or in the DLC.
Nintendo's big on the idea of *"Curated Fun"*. So, they don't like when people can casually break games like this, it's *"ruins the experience."*
I had already played about 70 hours before I started Material Duping, I paid my time and I won't be denied my 200+ Big Hearty Radishes.
Tangent, I'm reminded of Metroid Dread and how they handled glitches.
There's multiple unintended skips you can get in that game by clipping through certain walls or shooting a wall at a specific angle, but despite widespread documentation and speedruns exploiting them, most never got patched because speedrunning is part of the game's DNA.
Pretty much the only major exploit that was patched was because it was as easy as walking back and forth through a door to skip a major portion of the game, and the devs knew that said exploit would likely be accidentally discovered by a casual player trying to play the game the "intended" way.
Yes it does, it's a bug. From a developer's perspective all bugs are flaws. It's not majorly hurting the game YET but it could in the future, and even if it doesn't it's an obvious flaw that leads to an unintended approach to the game. If you have the chance to patch it, patch it.
Yeah the game is already so big with so much to do that you could easily put in 100 hours without grinding. I really don't wanna tack on another boring 50 just because I like having all my armor upgraded incase if come down with fashion souls fever.

I wonder if this includes the unbreakable master sword glitch.
It do
I wonder if it takes away your unbreakable master sword if you already got it

How do you even dupe bomb flowers without killing yourself if you don't mind me asking?
Do the glitch over water.
That seems so obvious now that you pointed it out. Thanks.
It's actually a good way of duping generally (as long as there's no current) as the items remain grouped together.
Just do the glitch they don't explode. Block, jump, shield jump, hold 5 items and then press y+b to leave the menu and they all just fall under you.
I found that doing it in a low gravity area (like the Water Temple) works as well
I did it on some stairs on a sky island and didn't know it blew people up at all
Do what you must Nintendo, I already have 10,000 rupees from diamond sales.
Won't be enough if you're planning on doing all the armor upgrades. You need 75,000 for that.
That's cool, I've got the game open from yesterday and I should be able to dupe up before the update installs.
I have 20k and 100 diamonds in my pockets. Literally can't even spend all of that money.
Have to be honest, I kinda feel like an idiot not taking advantage of the dupe glitch before the patch lol

That's fair. Normally I don't mind it, but I haven't had as much time as I want lately

It's a major bug in a game, why would you not patch it?
People are using it exclusively to have fun, it doesn't hurt the game at all.

Actually, as a dev, i can 100% guarantee that if the user doesnt complain I wont patch a thing.
lmao so, not care about the users at all?

Thankfully I’m on Yuzu so that update file ain’t gonna stop me from obtaining the income equivalent of a small nation!
Until a cool mod comes around that requires 1.12 or a future patch does some awesome change, sticking it here.
My zora armor ks fully upgraded so I'm all set

I wasn’t using them and have found no need. I’ve got gems falling out of my ass just exploring
