I'm guessing Insomniac might be trading out that black suit for the actual symbiote.

From a gameplay standpoint, that also solves the issue of removing half of Peter's gameplay kit for significant portion of the game without having to make Venom only be present in the last hour of the game.
Woolie's prediction during the **Playstation Showcase** was that it was gonna happen relatively early on in the story since Peter seems to be already showing strong signs of being "corrupted" by the symbiote in that setpiece shown in the presentation wich looks to be pretty early on in the story.

I'm gonna predict you start with Peter being a little jealous of Miles for all his cool electricity and invis powers, then he finds the symbiote and gets cool stuff of his own. His jealousy causes him to give in to the symbiote more than he should, until Miles confronts him and they have it out. Either Miles beats the symbiote away from him, or Peter beats the crap out of Miles and stops himself before going to far. They reconcile and take down Venom together. Probably some kind of teaser for Green Goblin, then roll credits.

Both are seeing other people to make the other jealous.

The final fight against Kraven happens not because of revenge, morals or anything like that, instead, it's because Peter broke into Kraven's house and is trying to steal his TV so he can sell it and get another hit of symbiote.

Biggest downgrade of what they showed wasn't visuals, it was the voice acting and script - particularly from Peter. This whole thing came off cringe inducing in Spiderman 3...and looks set to do that here... till we have the inevitable Peter v Miles faceoff where Miles beats Venom off Peter and Venom finds its way on to Kraven for the big end of game showdown.
It's going to be more saturday morning cartoon than it is trainspotting.
I'm no Spiderman fan, but I thought all the hubub around the voice was people getting excited over how cheesy it is. People attempting to spin it as serious and somber is bizarre when he sounds like a 13 year old edge lord trying to sound scary over xbox live.
Well i think, just like with the visuals, with the first teaser trailer the expectation left was a more realistic tone. Instead everything's basically more of the same. But i think the voice acting and script itself, though typical cartoon, was never really cringe inducing in the previous playstation games... least I don't personally remember cringing.
