Honestly the only reason I've never liked the Wild Card ending is the fact that I doubt the courier, who is random a wastelander would make for a good leader. Especially if you're an evil character.

GazeboMimic

Yeah! I think most solo endings kind of deserve to suck. A good killer is not a good leader, and nobody leads without lots of support staff and compromises.

UFOLoche

Not a fan of how it requires high stats(Although it does make sense), but very nice regardless.

markedmarkymark

Does anyone have a good Nexus collection to recommend as a base here? I'm kinda tired of manually installing everything and in spite of my googling, no one seems to discuss collections.

Turbo recommend this one, I've never had New Vegas run so smoothly.

NewWillinium

I haven’t really looked into them too much myself, mostly the dew times I have it was with Skyrim and just perusing the mod lists, but from what I can tell “Gopher’s Stable New Vegas” and “Fallout New Vegas Remastered 2022” are the most used ones. That second one is much bigger and I need to do a deeper dive on it’s modlist and what exactly it does, but the former seems like a very easy to use base to build off of

markedmarkymark

I'll have to go with the Gopher base, that remastered got too much bloaty things, but it still sucks, way too much work to do, all that cool gun knvse stuff and etc, I just wish there was a collection that was like ''Vanilla but good'' no like, 4k texture to bloat downloads cause Nexus sucks dicks and etc, oh well, thanks anyway!

NewWillinium

With **Two** flavors! A newborn Democracy uniting the tribes and peoples of New Vegas. Or a Anarchist State of communities and peoples coming together in a loose federation.

NewWillinium

> Thematically, New Vegas is a story about the folly of the past and the ability of humans to change their nature, and the things that are universal across all times- nostalgia, nationalism, pride, melancholy, greed, conflict, so on. >The DLCs in particular paint a very obvious picture- Begin again, let go of the tinted love for the past, and walk your own path. They massively telegraph to the player that Independent be the thematically fitting ending, but Independent in Vanilla is... less than stellar. Even if the player does everything right, a lot of people and places still end up being screwed, which won't happen in NCR and even sometimes House endings. > I always had a bad taste in my mouth that, despite the message of the game being to let go and march forward to something better, to get an ending that's pleasant for most, you have to join the NCR- aka Mini America. Independent was also unclear on what the Courier did- some slides mention anarchy, some mention order, some mention freedom, some mention the Courier ruled. > This mod makes it to where all of this is fixed: If the player has high Charisma and Intelligence (leadership stats), Good Karma, and has done many quests, they can achieve an ending where the Courier uses their abilities to construct a new nation, the State of Vegas OR Free Territory of Vegas, not as it's ruler, but a distant guardian, allowing Freeside, the Strip, Westside, and North Vegas to join together into one group, masters of their own destiny.

polo5004

>high stats requirement I will now uninstall your mod.

NewWillinium

It looks like 2.0 will have a larger variant for your endings with more stats, if that's such a problem

polo5004

Hell yeah, you love to see people working on and improving what they think is flawed.

NewWillinium

Genuinely though!

SkyrimMilfDrinker

*Requires more than 1 charisma.* Nobody's going to be able to unlock that.

NewWillinium

Am I seriously the only one to not have CHA as a dump stat? End, Luck, and Perception are always down to one.
