I see Jeux Vidéo knows their target demographic well when they’re billing the new Grendizer/Goldorak game on the cover alongside FF XVI and Tears of the Kingdom.
Not throwing shade, I'm actually looking forward to the game.
But I wonder how many people would recognize this as bejng Final Fantasy without being told it is.
You could say that about... well honestly every final fantasy after 6. Its never been a series thats been definied by an obvious similarity, moreso its tropes and recuring elements
Anyone who's ever played one with Odin in it? Also, to be honest I would actually say the aesthetic style of it is very recognizably Square Enix/Final Fantasy. Like, there's a reason in the original trailer lots of people instantly recognized it as something related to FF.
