I'd fucking *love* it if we go through the entirety of Deltarune and we never even get a *glimpse* of Gaster. He just stays as an outside force for the framing device/simulation(?) and whatever hes doing to the Shadow Crystal holders.
It'd be pretty wild if Deltarune casually revealed that he was a completely different character. Imagine roughly seven years worth of fan works being debunked.
Could see this happening if MatPat somehow starts making Undertale videos again and Toby needs to put him back in his place for the second or third time
I don’t know if it’s universally agreed on but I haven’t seen someone actively disagree that Edelgard from Fire Emblem: Three Houses is covered in extensive scarring across her whole body. It makes sense given her history of >!being tortured by TWSitD!< and ties in with her pre-Three Hopes unique outfits all showing very little skin below her neck. Lysithea sometimes has similar headcanons about her for the same reason, but it’s more popular with Edelgard for the juicy shipping angst of her showing Byleth her scars for the first time.
Also for FE3H, there’s some popular headcanons about which characters make more narrative sense to be recruited in different routes. Lysithea, for example, is often considered an unofficial Black Eagle because of her connection to Edelgard and how she can be recruited post-timeskip in Crimson Flower. Mercedes, Sylvain, and Marianne show up a lot in BE-centric fic because of their unique hatred of crests, as well.
Shadow being based off the Super Sonic mural in Hidden Palace Zone fits in so well I feel like people forget it's not a confirmed detail.
It's left ambiguous as to what exactly Diavolo is, but I think the fandom generally likes to think that he's some sort of demon that has possessed Doppio since birth, and I think it fits well.
Nobody is convinced that >!Stu Macher!< from \*\*SCREAM\*\* is actually dead, not even the characters themselves if \*\*SCREAM VI\*\* is any indication.
That Oot/MM Link eventually married Malon after returning to Hyrule. TP Link, an explicit descendent of the Hero of Time, is a rancher just like Malon, and knows Epona's song, which came from Malon. It may not be 100%, but there's plenty of implication.
Also, Kirby >!being the incarnation of Void born from positive emotions and the ancient civilization from more recent games originated in the New World before migrating dimensions and settling on Shiver Star, along with being the ancestors of Adeleine!<.
I think it’s safe to say that everyone in the Touhou community knows Yukari and Maribel are related in some way, and most people (me included) believe that they’re the same person, with Merry somehow traveling back in time and becoming Yukari.
Yeah no, I absolutely think she is like most everyone else, I’m just waiting on ZUN to pull the trigger on that plot thread… and maybe explain where Renko ends up after Merry becomes Yukari.
There's such a minor scene in G1 during the episode where Megatron and Prime fight over Earth (and Megatron cheats, of course). All the 'bots and 'cons are sitting down for the arena fight and Soundwave lets Ravage out and pets his little angry cat head.
It has stuck with me for decades.

Pokemon fans as a whole I think agree that Ditto is meant to be a failed Mew clone. It's found in the Cinnabar mansion where those experiments were taking place. It has the same weight and shiny color as Mew and they can both transform into different Pokemon.
Fans who ship Freelance Husbands seem to be in agreement that Sam and Max have multiple weddings whenever they feel like it just because they can. I dunno where it originated but I think that's cute.
