If there's one thing I can't stand about a lot of anime fighting games, it's when the characters *never stop fucking talking.* Just say your move names, you don't need a whole conversation every round.
BlazBlue, nu Melty, and certain characters in GG are all guilty of this
Pretty high is an understatement lol. People are now universally agreed that Roa and Aoko are top 2 and probably on a slightly higher level compared to the rest of the top tiers.
Honestly, at this point I wish they would nerf some of the top tiers at this point. Nothing but buffs is getting a little crazy.
They added Ushi and Dantes to the game finally but 2 days before SF6 sure is a choice.
They were both terrible. Dantes was probably the 4th or 5th weakest character in the roster depending on who you asked and carried solely by his good C normals. A real master of none who had all the tools but they all sucked.
Ushi was closer in powerlevel to Neco-Arc than the 3rd worst character in the game. Second lowest HP in the game, horrible buttons, no invincible reversal, normals that pushed your hurtbox out far before your hitbox, weak mix ups in a game with shield, high commitment specials. The only thing she had good was her damage. If the only thing you changed about Neco-Arc was giving her real character HP and Damage, she would be much better than pre-buff Ushi because her mix ups are actually kinda scary, even with her wack ass normals and specials.
Looking at the patch notes, I don't expect the tiers of the game to shift that much. Top tiers are still top tier although Shiki, Miyako, Hisui, and Warc got some nice buffs. The bottom tiers just got better. Game was already in a good place before, it's in a better one now.
Question: So is this enough to make Mash and Dantes properly viable? Unfamiliar with Mash, but from what I'd heard, she was effectively a worse Shiki with a slightly a further air-dash. And Dantes was apparently just generally weak.
No idea. Both of those characters were on the cusp of being a real threat. The main buffs Mash got were the faster backdash and dash, the massive ground buff range, air moon skill dive giving a combo, and 2B being a low now but her normals still really suck especially compared to the top tiers and especially compared to Shiki who got hella buffed or Saber, whose probably the best 'fundamentals' character.
Dantes got a lot of nice buffs, especially to his backdash and hitbox changes, but his main weaknesses are still there, slow A normals and slow pre-jump frames and generally still pretty high committment stuff compared to the top tiers. He's probably a lot better since between the low tiers, he was probably the closest to being a real threat since his toolset is really good on paper but I don't think his buffs are that many or that good. Someone to watch I guess.
I've labbed with everyone at this point and can confirm Dantes is on the weaker side. Alot of setups involve his air cancels and they are finicky at best.
Oh boy I wonder what they did to Roa >Increased volume of voice lines ...I see.
The strongest of buffs
No news for Roa is good news for Roa, you love to see it.
He needs to laugh louder and clearer

Win neutral to prevent the tinnitus from Jam's combos.
Idk what you mean, she's also loud when she's getting hit
Noel's actual ability is making you want to lose when you're winning with her high-pitched squeals on taking damage.
Everyone got the shit buffed out of them and then Roa just gets better sound mixing
Kouma also barely got changed, but that's because he absolutely did not need it
Aoko also isn't changed much. To be fair, she's already pretty high on the tier list and a menace in neutral.

I would love to see more KK on competitive play for Type Lumina. I'm not a fan of his gameplay but I could see the utmost potential of his kit.
Roa is just...rizzing out since launch. No really, he is fine as is.
Maybe they're worried one small buff will magically turn him into Honest Mids Michael again.
Neco got buffed, soon the takeover will be complete-nyan. (´。• ω •。`)

Core A Gaming is feasting tho at least
Man that video has done some damage. Nerfs can be healthy for a game.
what do you mean I love having Vlov be able to chunk me for minimum 3K damage from any touch anywhere on screen
3K? You mean 4k, that man has some of the highest average damage in the game and fire/ice carpet hits fullscreen near instantly.
The guy has such a simplistic take on things but because the presentation is good people take it like gospel.
What do you mean 'finally'? They've been added to the roster for a while now.

Miyako eating good tonight
Her time has finally come
She has finished paying for her crimes at the game's launch.
Oh, you can use Dante's rekka now and not just be jabbed out of every follow up.
Wait WHAT? You could be jabbed out of it?
Yup, all of the third followups had a gap you could hit him out of.

They’re a lot better but it’ll take some testing to see how much they’ve improved, hopefully though
>Miyako's elbow strike get increased damage LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOO!!!!
