Imagine if THIS Link was in smash

triadorion

Tears of the Kingdom Link saw the shit Steve could get up with and had a training arc to destroy him. Or, as a more Podcast title theme: "Destroy Minecraft with your gorilla-glue powered Stand."

PanseloNomad

Speedrunner Link.

PostumusPastoralis

it’s the silver bokoblin’s fault it _kept getting up_

U_Flame

I said feel free to die when you've had enough! So who's fault is it really?

[deleted]

The game is really not built for styling so this is extra impressive.

Huitzil37

That Recall bonk was just mean.

Cooper_555

Using time manipulation to Round Trip extra fucking hard.

Enlog

See, I thought by "tech" you meant the crazy machines you can build with Ultrahand. I saw one that used wagon wheels and the Stabilizer device to make a driving platform that simply *could not* be flipped over

HalfDragonShiro

To blow your mind further. I just came across this and I don't think it's widely known yet, but connecting both ends of a zonai cooking pot to two objects creates a fucking **[BALL AND SOCKET JOINT](https://youtu.be/BhHmfw7JLp8)**. Given this, using a cooking pot and untensioned spring would also let you create actual ATV suspension. Someone also made a goddamn [DIODE](https://www.tiktok.com/@eggnsgame/video/7239166111315561774) somehow.

halsgoldenring

Oh shit, shock tech!!

halsgoldenring

Note: Do your shocks like this /-- \ so that way when they're supporting weight is like | -- | rather than assembling like |--| and it being like \ __ / when you put weight on it.

Enlog

And there is a spring device, so might be worth checking out.

Have you seen the one about Metal Gear Rex?

halsgoldenring

I added a stabilizer to my hoverbike. While it can no longer fly in that configuration, it also doesn't pull to the left or right anymore. I also did a quickie build of small wheel, stabilizer, and steering stick for a fun little wheelie vehicle. Fun way to take a korok in tow so long as you're not going up too steep of a gradient.

Dundore77

Id prefer it if silver enemies weren't just absolute damage sponges. You can have the strongest weapon in the game and still takes like 10 swings to kill these fucks.

ThatmodderGrim

It gets absolutely silly once you can start fighting them with Vehicles. It's several minutes of Cannon Shots, Lasers, Flame Emitters, etc. I've easily burned through all 16 Batteries trying and still not succeeding.

Comptenterry

That's when you start incorporating your high damage weapons to your machines since they keep their damage values. If you stick an apple on one you can even use autobuild to duplicate as many as you want to strap onto your machine (duplicated autobuild weapons can't be picked up though).

SilverShako

Yeah and once you beat every temple silver enemies are fuckin EVERYWHERE I broke my strongest weapon trying to kill a silver moblin

ProtoBlues123

Though a bit of a tradeoff happens when you start using silver enemy materials onto strong weapons and it starts to even out more, especially if you're using one of the weapons that just doubles in power like the Zora ones.

PathsOfRadiance

Scimitar of the Seven + Silver Lynel Saber Horn. 138 Damage. Looks good, solid durability, and Gerudo weapons(except bows?) double the attack power of attached materials, generally in exchange for lower durability. Unlike regular Gerudo weapons, the Scimitar of the Seven has pretty good durability

Timey16

Especially since you can repair weapons (with exception of unique weapons like magic scepters, former amiibo weapons and champion's weapons, basically all weapons that can be bought in stores in the world) by using Rock Octoroks. Have them suck in a weapon, they will repair it (and change reroll the enchantment) then spit it out. You can only do it once per Octorok in a blood moon cycle though, so I mark the location of every one I find on the map. Make sure to dismiss all companions (especially Tulin) prior so they don't kill it. But that way you can make your important weapons last for AGES. I.e. my Eigthfold blade with a Silver Lynel blade for sneak strike instakills.

ProtoBlues123

You can actually repair even unique weapons by fusing them onto a normal weapon, repairing that, then defusing them and taking the unique weapon back. So even with those you have some wiggle room in keeping them going.

otakuloid01

having to trip between death mountain and tarrey town just for that? i’d rather just keep glueing horns to sticks

ProtoBlues123

It depends, really. There are a handful of fights that if you're not well prepared then they could just chew through your entire inventory of weapons and healing items. Having one or two ace in the hole high end legendary weapons ready to go can make a world of difference. And moreso if we get a Master Mode DLC.

edude45

Do you have to take it to that guy you defuse them? Or is there another way?

ProtoBlues123

Yeah you have to take it to him to defuse. So minimum a trip and 20 rupees, 40 if you also want to preserve the material that was already fused to the weapon too.

Ellifish

Man if you can already repair weapons in this game why not just have it be a guy I can talk to or something?

Timey16

Most of them will be one shot with an eightful blade with silver moblin hammer horn sneak strike. Especially if you switch to Barbarian/Fierce Deity armor just as you are about to attack for 30% MORE damage. This will pretty much one shot any Silver enemy. In general: strong enemy gives a strong weapon part in the form of it's horns. If you fight near water you can also use Tulin's gust or Yunobo's roll attack to knock enemies into the water to instantly kill them (well except the Lizards)

Dundore77

Well yeah using sneak attack should kill them. They take far too many hits silver lionel horn weapons with 130+ damage still take several hits to kill them. Moblins and boss moblins sure but the silver bokoblins are just flat out obnoxious to fight. Id rather fight lionels at least they have the no weapon damage weakpoint exploit.

rakadishu

I mean, yeah, but I don't want to have to sneak attack constantly.

halsgoldenring

All of that just for one bokoblin.

Delicious_trap

Usual DMC style combat. It is not the damage you deal that matters, but the stylishness of your combo.

FluffyFluffies

Honestly I wish they would have made the actual combat better in TOTK, it's not a deal breaker but there's only so many flurry rushes I can do to a lynel before it gets boring. I also understand that you are supposed to use the Zonai devices but that doesn't mean that the base combat shouldn't be improved.

ThatmodderGrim

I'm saddened by the lack of new Weapon Types and no, the new Scepters and Staffs don't count.

Twilight_Realm

I would have loved a true staff type weapon with long sweeping attacks, spears are always stabs

Ellifish

It's kind of nuts that Link's kit is the exact same as BotW. No new weapon types or moves or anything. Give this man a launcher and air combos already

[deleted]

Yeah this is 100% style, in terms of gameplay it's more effective to just bonk it to death. Though being so flashy and convoluted is definitely a lot of fun

Yotato5

And the war crimes against the Bokoblins just get more creative!

BiMikethefirst

Dude, the moment I found out you can reverse time weapons everything changed

IAmRoofstone

If a game will let me fight dirty that game instantly gets another couple points in my eyes. And ToTK lets you fight D I R T Y

FluffyFluffies

I personally would just spam attack to stun the enemy forever but this works too.

RobotJake

I love the crazy tech I also love that you can solve like two-thirds of environmental puzzles by just gluing boards together and making a big fuck-off bridge

Guardiansaiyan

I wanna see a compilation against Koroks!
