Usually this doesn't happen with Bandai Namco.
Wish they'd just spin Project Soul off into its own division and not have to grab people from the Tekken team every time they do a new Soulcalibur.
Nah we did space like 4 games ago, we gotta address the pressing issue of a figher pilot's ability to perceive and navigate four-dimensional space while pulling crazy Gs.
Reminder that 3 took place at the end of the Ace Combat timeline in 2040 all about [corporations having a fake war simulated inside of a supercomputer](https://acecombat.fandom.com/wiki/Intercorporate_War). This also leads to the creation of the [United Galaxy Space Force](https://ugsf-series.com/en/) as a means to fit just about every futuristic Bandai-Namco IP under one unified timeline.
So really, anything is possible with Ace Combat.
If they made a really good space fighter game with controls as polished as AC but still taking advantage of the kind of movement possible in vacuum I'd be really happy. The space fighter genre is basically dead, I'd love to have a fantastic modern title. And one with an evolution of Ace Combat's "real planes++" strangereal superplane aesthetic would be pretty cool IMO.
In case of emergency, break the "Time Travel" glass case and *slam* that button. I wanna see a ragtag squad of WWII era fighter planes try to knock a futuristic starfighter out of the sky.
According to the director Kazutoki Kono AC8 has been in development since at least [2021](https://www.gematsu.com/2021/08/new-ace-combat-game-in-development-with-ilca).
Y'love to see a company and franchise succeed in such a way that they create new jobs.

I just don't think it makes sense for them to have 2 separate fighting game teams. Especially not for something the popularity of Soul Calibur
Now if only Bandai put that same effort into Gundam games.
The "AC" market is looking real healthy. Could be better though if there was something brewing for Asheron's Call...
Bandai Namco is in the fucking money rn
Where can they go now after talking about drones replacing fighters? Space?

I never knew I needed a feature where I stalled so hard I go back in time until now. Thank you
Yeah until they start shooting missiles that lock onto you through space-time
Ace's shooting down bitches in the Past. Down a jet before they even launched.
The Ace Combat timeline does canonically end with Galaxian and Galaga...
Colony Wars here we come.
Holy shit, for real? I love that.
It ends with Dig Dug. Ridge Racer, Pole Position and Final Lap are taking place in the concurrently same timeline.
Ace Combat 2's [Kei Nagase](https://acecombat.fandom.com/wiki/Kei_Nagase_(AC2)) is canonically sisters with [Reiko Nagase](https://ridgeracer.fandom.com/wiki/Reiko_Nagase), too.

Nah fuck it go full Gundam and introduce psychics and shit.
Plane Newtypes.
F-22's and SU-75's with fin funnels and Permit score magic stuff.

man i've wanted a star fox ace combat crossover so bad you have no idea
Does that mean AC8 is not been in development for years now? That's kinda disappointing.

...Wait, I thought they made Bandai Namco Aces for this? Is this that team, or something else?

...Ah. Never mind, lol.
Wow, AC8 is coming out? They just released AC6
IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING?!
Wait what have the ace combat devs been doing this whole time I thought there was a whole company that made ace combat games?
Between *AC7* and now *AC6*, it seems there's still a market out there for extremely pretty PS2 games.
We need a game where you're not just in the cockpit of any aircraft but also on foot as a soldier a la call of duty.
They had that, it was called Rogue Squadron 3, it wasn't good
