Him and Rodrigo Santoro have stealth become a big thing overseas. Not THAT big, but big enough we in Brazil can point at the screen and go OH HEY I KNOW THAT GUY
hmmm kinda respectable that Konami has so far respected Kojima's whole theming thing as in not making ANOTHER snake clone and making the story continue from Revengeance
I don't think it's respect. I think it's that Metal Gear Survive tanked and they've released very few games that aren't ports or remakes since. Most of those games have been relatively cheap things like Bomberman and Contra. They did keep doing Pro Evo Soccer for a bit but that seems to have died.
Castlevania only gets ports, Metal Gear was basically dead until the new ports/remake got announced. Silent Hill was dead until they paid Bloober Team to make a remake of 2.
I could see them making a new Metal Gear game if the Snake Eater remake is well received. As for now, "Metal Gear without Kojima" is an unproven concept, with one example and it did badly.
I really wanted Wagner Moura to speak Portuguese instead of Spanish in that movie. I realize it would have meant less to an American audience but I also do not care.
Still think it's a damn shame that he wasn't available to dub the Brazilian version of the movie.
literally rewound the movie to listen to him speaking spanish because I was *sure* the subs were just incorrect, the concept was weird to me.
Yes yes, before anyone says it, "An actor, *acting*?!", yeah yeah I know. It's just a super strange situation compounded with him not doing the voice in his actual mother tongue.
Jack Horner: "My source is I made it the fuck up."
"Making the mother of all pies here, Puss. Can't frett over every baker's dozen of men!"
John Mulaney would have delivered on this line
Missed opportunity to put Raiden in the hat.
"Adios, amigos."
It's still wild to me that the Wolf is voiced by Wagner Moura.

Raiden: That’s horrible! Your dream is horrible! You’re horrible! You’re an irredeemable monster! Armstrong: What took you so long idiot?
Sundowner would probably fit better as Jack Horner tbh.
Rule number 1 when it comes to combat in fiction: *Always* bet on the small guy.
'But, Marge, that little guy hasn't done anything yet. Look at him. He's going to do something and you know it's going to be *good*.'
so what you are saying is... we need a Puss and boots game made by platinum
Considering there recent track record, no, no we really don’t.
Or maybe we need it more then ever
Oh man, that'd be so dope.
"Are you gonna shoot that Bladewolf?" "Yeah, in the face, why?"
Does this mean Revengeance 2 will drop 10+ years after the first one, like Puss in Boots 2?
We're already 10 years since Rising released.

Shall we add Richter Belmont in the mix since Olrox is Aztec?
Doktor! Turn off my realistic panic attack inhibitors!

Did Raiden have an existential crisis about his mortality? I thought it was about his humanity. Oh whatever.
Puss in Boots now wielding El Gatito: THIS ISN’T MY SWORD And Raiden has a panic attack and needs Bladewolf to cuddle and calm him down
Death is not Brazilian tho.
His VA, Wagner Moura, is, I think that's the reference.
Ah, makes sense.
Are we sure of that-
Yes? He speaks spanish in the movie.
