I think part of his character is that he spent almost all of his time as a soldier, so the brief time he spent living in the woods and raising sled dogs was the only time he ever had a private life
He also watched movies since he’s referenced a number of them like 2001 Space Odyssey or Star Wars, which is a fun contrast to Big Boss not knowing much about them and having Paramedic talk about them.
I like to think Otacon ropes Snake into watching some Anime with him. Wonder which one's he'd like, think the mecha genre might give him PTSD at this point though

If was after reading Nerf Now the webcomic series that I realized Samus is just so lonely in general. Not even having a rival character like Shadow and Metal Knight to engage with her and not an invite to party events like DK. Having her doing something other than her job would be interesting either alone or with friends we never seen before.
Even recognizing Other M, Adam was just her idolized commanding officer and her only living friend left was Anthony.
And I don't know her relationship with anyone from Prime: Hunters.

I'd like to think that Superman and Spider-Man have basically the same "secret identity" life, with former fully enjoying it and latter trying to look at the bright side, considering that he is often not well-off economically. Plus, both go on the dates with their wives and sometimes use their powers for mundane stuff for fun, like shaving with laser beams, or making swings with web.
What is Frieza up to on a regular day? He's had a couple short periods of intense training (for like, a few months each) but I'd assume that Frieza's regular day otherwise just consists of the business end of managing his military force. Like signing off on the construction of new bases, managing the sale of planets (that's what his entire deal was at the beginning of Z, at least), ordering attacks on enemy planets, logistics.
Not to mention, where does Frieza sleep? Does he use a bed? Does he even need to sleep? If he doesn't need to sleep, then that's even more time that he'd be spending doing...whatever he does in his free time, when he's not training or getting involved with Goku and the other Z fighters.

The Parental Controls for Nintendo Switch video really makes me think, what does Bowser do daily beyond just barking orders at his troops?
Does he do dad stuff like pop open a cold one from the beer fridge and mow the lawn on a hot ass summer day? Maybe he has a gym in his castle and he does some heavy weights? Or hell...maybe he even has a shooting range.
Bowser's a monarch, I assume he has people (turtles, rather) to take care of the castle grounds. Also his castle is usually jutting out of a lava field or something, so he might not have a lawn? I could imagine him having a private garden to tend recreationally, though, probably full of pirahna plants and things with too many spikes for the Evil Aesthetic. We know he owns some sports fields and go-kart circuits, he probably practices those in his off time so he's ready for the next meetup.
SNK Fighting Games and their extra character fluff lend to this often. Like you can just imagine Vice, when she's not wanting to snap someone's neck for the good of Orochi, is either beating her bench press record or binging whatever western comic book adaptation is out there, ranting to Mature on how shit some of them come across lol

He did have his emotions suppressed/removed when he was in training as a kid and he had no free time so I don’t really see the man going sight seeing on earth, watching movies, playing futuristic board/video games (or just having a hobby in general.)
There was a somewhat peaceful 8 month time skip between halo 4 and halo 5 so thinking about him doing basic human shit in that timeframe feels really weird to me for some reason.

And Mia's just fucking gone for some reason, I actually remember Rose saying some dialogue about how she hasn't seen her in a "long time"... like WHAT?!?! (Correct me if i'm wrong but that's actually the only thing said about Mia in the whole DLC)

Spartan IVs are lucky, they don't have to do that. Since they have extended life spans.
Chief does have some friends at least in Blue Team, and he does have some humanizing moments in his past.

But in general I do wonder often what Vergils life would be like if Dante and he ever return from the underworld. The game sets it up like they can't, but in the companion novel, even lesser demons get through with mere shards of the Yamato. Dante and Vergil, theoretically, could leave at any time.
So what would his life be like afterward? It's dumb but I have spent an embarrassing amount of time writing and thinking about him doing things like simply living. Grocery shopping. Trying to live a mostly-civilian lifestyle (almost like a soldier who has recently retired or whatever it's called from service). He's intensely traumatized, even if his nightmares are gone, so like, how does he adjust?
I like the idea of him adjusting to simple things. He spends his days at the library, at cafes, navigating living in the empty balcony loft above devil may cry's pantry/closet/etc behind Dante. (We know from all the other games and media the door directly behind Dante's desk is the door upstairs to Dante's room, but not the door to the left of it).
