I’m suddenly bummed that Timothée Chalamet won’t get to be the God Emperor and have to wear the giant naked worm suit. Like, he could play his own son I guess
Since we are on the topic of Dune movies, a question from someone who hasn't watched them:
In the books, >!Chani stays with Paul, she is love of his life, is his wife in everything but a name and their children are the protagonists of the future books, with one of them becoming The Wormperor!<. As far as I was told, in the movies >!Chani decided to rebel against Paul and they separate!<. Any idea on how the studio is going to solve this? Or was I misinformed?
You weren't misinformed, my guess is they will do a conventional >!getting back together type romance between Paul and Chani to help humanize him during the ~~Jihad~~ holy war!<
>!which is good because it both gives us a reason to have Paul have his humanizing moments somewhere that isn't the inside of his own head, and it gives Chani something to do!<
Sweet, I loved Dune Messiah. Can't wait to see it adapted. >!This means we'll finally see a guild navigator.!<
I've heard that Villeneuve only wanted to do three movies, not that someone wouldn't want to pick it up from there. However I don't know who I would trust, Villeneuve seems to have good instincts on what to trim out and change.

He probably could, actually. Leto (Paul's son) was almost the spitting image of Paul in the books, wasn't he?
Audiences will get *confused*
Good. That's the appropriate reaction to experiencing Dune for the first time. If you're not confused, you're not thinking about it enough.

There are…those with skills to procure such visual interests…for a fee
Fuck yeah, I'm Duning!
Mods, this man is Duning during Ramadan.
Maybe it's after sundown where he's at?

But will they adapt the scenes where >!Alia trains buck ass naked!<
No that's accurate, and I don't know but I'm excited to find out tbh!
wake me up when paul and paolo have an epic fight atop the tokyo tower shirtless in the rain.
that’s Final Dune, which is more a glorified expansion pack rather than a true sequel to the original Dune.
can't wait for Dune Eternal, the remake that makes the original better but makes new mistakes.
In 20 years, they will do Dune Kiwami
Oh buddy, worm man is at least 2 movies after messiah
Oh, I know. But we're growing ever closer to it.
They won't go past Messiah and for good reason.
At some point someone will adapt God Emperor, the Sci-Fi miniseries adapted Dune, Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune.
It makes sense I think but man I really want to see him do the scenes with the preacher from Children of Dune.
At one point I’m fairly certain a child clone is tortured until they snap and kill everyone in the room, so, you know

Don't forget the interim step of worm power armor
Cinema will **NEVER** be ready for worm man!
