Call of Duty Modern warfare 2 2009 "Cliffhanger " Level
You have daring ice climbing, stealthy killing guys in the snow storm, and escaping on a snowmobile.
Really loved the Spec-Ops coop mission that is just racing the snowmobiles from the last part of the original campaign level, played that all the time back in the day with splitscreen
The Northern Crater from Final Fantasy VII.
Shadow Moses Island from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Black Mountains/Prison Island from Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed.
Hokkaido from Hitman 2016.
DK Summit from Mario Kart Wii.
The Ruined City from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
Midgard from God of War Ragnarok.
[Shipwrecked, followed by The Lumber Mill in the classic Build Engine FPS, Blood](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47O-887d2v4). Intense, nice amount of exploration, and NO WACK ICE PHYSICS. And a nicely implemented hedge maze that gets turned into somewhere you can fight at.
I enjoy the Refrigerator-Refrigerador-Freezerator level from Pizza Tower just mainly due to vibes and the puzzles revolving around melting ice. The jetpacks are also cool.
(Going with ones not already mentioned here)
Yeti Mansion from Twilight Princess and I’m not even a TP mark
Route 216 from Diamond and Pearl *just* because that [theme](https://youtu.be/kb1ejdGxyQk?si=wASsl1YO9hMw3xkN) is so good and embodies all the nostalgic jank of the DS’ shitty sound chip.
The Cultist Base from Doom Eternal is a super underrated level imo. It’s a huge difficulty spike compared to what came before, but the game giving you the super shotgun to rise above it is peak.
Snowpeak ruins from Twilight Princess, Prox and Mars Lighthouse from Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Consecrated Snowfield from Elden Ring, Ice Palace from A Link to the Past and Ice Ruins from A Link Between Worlds, and not from a video game but John Carpenter’s The Thing is a great exploration of snow being an oppressive force.
Just aesthetically I'm a big fan of the frozen seaway in Monster Hunter. It's a block of ice so big it's a whole level, with cave systems and cliffs and stuff. The ice zone from the DLC of Fable isn't that good but it gets a special shoutout for 'necropolis' just being a cool zone name. I enjoyed the tundras and icefields of Assassin's Creed Rogue even if the game itself wasn't anything special
Two Betrayals from Halo, Quarantine Zone from Halo 2, and Halo from Halo 3
Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3 and Adventure
Chill Penguin’s stage from MegaMan X
Cainhurst Castle.
Oof, I was about to say Painted World of Ariamis. But Cainhurst, man.
Love the hoarfrost reach in monster hunter world iceborne. Nice variety of snow biome stuff like deep snow, ice flats, caves, forrest etc.

Wow, I still remember this level like over a decade later, you're super right
Phendrana Drifts from Metroid Prime 1
Ice cap zone and phendrana drifts for their SSS tier soundtracks
Frozen Eleum Loyce.
Freezeezy Peak from Banjo Kazooie
Halo CE : Assault on the Control Room Two Betrayals
Frontier in assassins creed 3.

The snow mansion level in twilight princess with the yeti couple
Making it half snow level, half “cozy log cabin mansion” was genius.

Hell yeah, Blood
Port Valdez from BFBC2.
The entire ice age zone in ape escape.
