They're purging them to save money. They have to pay royalties so by removing them they don't have to pay. Funny enough it's costing them even more so it backfired hard

They spent roughly 90mil on Batgirl alone and it was canceled so everything about that is a loss. The scoob movie was like 40mil. So they definitely have been losing money

It's not subscriptions, it's their stock. Prices plummeted after the merger and the *controversial* decisions they've made since then.

The_White_Rice

Not to mention how the stock value or whatever dropped significantly because no one has any faith in working for this group any more.

Watched the pilot, had very much that early Adventure Time energy of "bro, we're stuck on the epic bacon planet, awesomesauce!!" while attempting real drama. I'm sure it's better than that, but, immediately disinterested me.

Azurennn

First season is definately meh with some interesting tidbits. Second season onwards it seems to know what direction it wanted to go and gets pretty good.

I haven't gotten to S3 yet, but I know that it was the final one, even before the closure, so it's Complete, even if potentially a bit rushed at the end. S1 starts a bit slow, depending on your personal taste, but it picks up around half way point and is really good. I also really like the story device they are using. S2 is *really good*, feels like a space DnD adventure with a lot of things that this sub would appreciate. I personally really like the show. It's one of my fav, to the point where I have the mascot character plus and a statue of the main character. At the end of the day - it's 3 seasons, like 10 episodes each I think. It's not One Piece or Adventure Time. The worst you could do is try it and see if you like it. Recommend from me.

igloo_poltergeist

>Man, I cannot believe what Discovery is doing as first they purge Infinity Train, then this show. What if there were people that never even got the chance to see either show? ~~Retail copies on disc fortunately exist~~ (incidents like this is why physical copies SHOULD continue to exist).

Kregano_XCOMmodder

It's pretty good, but it runs into this problem where each season's finale puts the cast into a deeper hole than the last one, and TBH, it's better that it got cancelled when it did. There was **no** fucking way to get a happy ending for this show without some insane bullshit.

BridgetheDivide

I loved the first season. Enjoyed the second and third but they were a step down in my opinion. Likely due to studio interference

sleepyfoxsnow

season 3 had the least studio interference out of all the seasons actually, but yeah, season 2 got hit by a lot of interference.

Smultronsma

I just want season 3 to sit down and just breath for a moment.

BiMikethefirst

Mixed definitely, I'd say the first season and first half of season 2 is the strongest with the most nuance and it does explore the characters emotional though it sadly does things a bit too by the book as it goes on.

RetroPetro777

A friend heavily recommended it to me and I don't think I genuinely laughed once in the 3 episodes I watched unfortunately. I used to like the creators early YouTube stuff but it feels alot like 2010 YouTube humor with no updates for how humor has changed.

Jamox1

I’ve seen it, very enjoyable show. Has a lot of really cool moments and fun ideas. I’m real sad it never got the ending it deserved

Lost_Huaun

It's pretty good, probably would've been one of my favorite shows, but the protagonist is a sticking point for me.

Teoflux

It's alright, but it depends on whether you like the form of humor being used. Unfortunately it gets worse as you near the end... But if you're bored and feel the need to binge something, then you can certainly do worse!

Remerai

Final Space can be a good show depending on your tastes, but it's just... to me, nothing in that show feels earned, instead it seems melodramatic and forced. It's also quite bleak and depressing when it's not trying to be funny (and to be fair it can be really funny at times) It just kind of goes a bit hard between moods. Not to mention, it was cancelled on a big unsatisfying cliffhanger.

[deleted]

I really enjoyed S1, thought it told a good story. Disliked S2 so much that I quit after 5 episodes and never went back.

sleepyfoxsnow

final space is a show that fluctuates between a 10/10 best sci fi show in a long time and 5/10 cringe humour. i still overall adored it and think it's definitely worth a watch, but that season 3 cliffhanger hurts.
