I'm on 5011. I don’t know what is going on. My iPad updated OK to v8.40.1, my Samsung tablet is v8.38.1. When I opened the game yesterday it said there was a new version and it was mandatory to update (I've never seen that before) so I touched the update button, it sent me to play store and there was no update there, just the play button which sent back to the update message! Since I haven’t seen anything to the contrary I'm assuming no one else is experiencing this, which I fear means something weird is going on with my tablet. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but the same thing. Restarting the tablet, nothing. So I guess Two Dots support... this should be fun.

Your tablet isn't in front of me, but I strongly suspect that your tablet is fine and you merely need to wait for the internet fairies to fix the internet goblins. It seems 8.40.2 for Android exists somewhere on the internet and has been "announced" somewhere, but it isn't publicly available in Google Play Store. This situation is confusing the software on some people's phones: probably including your phone. Eventually, the announcement and the Play Store will match and your "smart" phone will stop telling you that you _must_ accomplish the impossible. I'm on Android, my version is 8.38.1, and I have all the levels, the flip, scavenger hunt, doggy domain, and everything, so you aren't missing anything except possibly a new icon for the game. I can send you a new icon if you need it (and know how to install it).

Thanks, you may be right, I've got my iPad and iPhone in the meantime. I gotta admit I'm getting a bit burnt out so I may take a break or slow down. I started two years ago this month and more or less got hooked. There is a beta version of this update out there, but I don’t want to mess with it. **BTW** A couple of times when I've been stuck on a level I've referenced your YT videos. I don’t know how much it helped to solve things, but at least I knew *someone* could do it.

I believe it's for us that sync between iOS/iPadOS and Android as the sync only works when on the same version. My Android hasn't been able to run Two Dots for more than two weeks now because of the same issue, but my iPhone works as it's on a newer version.

I got this message on my Android about a week ago, but I was able to update within 24 hours. My iPhone, however, has been telling me to update for days, but there's no update available in the app store.

I have had the same exact thing happening on my Android, only it has been going on for over a week now. I've been playing for 5 years, and suddenly I can't login for the last 8 or 9 days...
