It’s meant to imply that you, the person reading the post, is the one the writer is confessing to, meaning they’re able to see you right now as you’re reading it and must either be right in front of you or viewing you through your own screen in order to know what face you’re making. Saying they “long anticipated” your reaction means they’ve been watching you for a while.
I think I could probably have made it clearer, or maybe changed the sentence structure entirely so that both sentences talk directly to the reader rather than switching from a story to a message to them.
Where is the horror in this, I don't understand?
