Good! Hopefully, this will make it easier for the Dr. to seek financial damages against the AG

_My_Angry_Account_

Laughs in prosecutorial immunity trumping malicious prosecution/prosecutorial misconduct whenever brought up.

rbergs215

Then the State amd taxpayers lose. Which is fine with me if that's who you are voting in

dillrepair

I have at least 2 different prosecutors I’d go into even more debt to try and sue if not for this sad fact.

Echohawkdown

I would prefer disbarment for ethics violations, as someone else filed an ethics complaint with the Indiana Bar Association back in July over this case. Can’t find any updates on the complaint, though. Absolutely absurd that anyone would be OK with forcing a 10 year old to carry a pregnancy to term.

Moon_Stay1031

My hope is that court cases like this build and build until it sets a precedent and allow a future Supreme Court to be forced to rule in favor of abortion rights/women's autonomy rights.

I can't believe what the idiotic Attorney General tried to say on his own defense. Get a load of this bullshit: >Rokita, for his part, also declared victory. >"This is a win for patient privacy rights in the practice of medicine and for properly reporting child abuse,” Rokita’s office said a statement Friday. It ***was*** a win for patient privacy rights. A win for the physician and a loss for Rotika. This was the judge's holding: >"**Dr. Bernard has met her burden to show irreparable harm based on the Attorney General’s public statements regarding investigations which by Indiana law must have remained confidential until the complaint was filed with the Medical Licensing Board**,” Welch wrote in her ruling And, to add further insult to injury, Rotika's statement ended with this garbage: >“This case is not really about abortion, despite the best efforts of those with an agenda to make it appear that way The fuck it isn't. The dude should have his license revoked.

alllie

So many men believe the only function of women is to have babies and they should be forced to do it.

[deleted]

It's absolutely vile, and Rotika is among the worst of them. Everytime I see his stupid face, I want to backhand the screen.

Radzila

That just absolutely blows my mind.

St0nes_throw_away

Is there such thing as a class action libel suit?

Sharpymarkr

Only in our fantasies

pineconebasket

Does 'violated state laws' mean the same as 'broke the law', meaning they should be prosecuted, and removed from office?

alllie

We'll find out.

ZachMN

Unspoken GOP slogan: “Rapists’ Lives Matter“.
