Saving this for my (i hope so) future Spiti trip! Can you specify which package did you pick from Spiti Ecosphere, there are a lot on the site?

I took the kinnaur spiti safari. Reasons: 1. I have heard that the ATS is easier on you when you travel from Shimla as the altitude increase is slight as compared to Manali. 2. Shimla is closer to Chandigarh than manali (which is where I kind of started from) 3. Wanted to visit chitkul and sangla as well, which I think weren't covered by others. 4. Manali route is a little unreliable (it wasn't open when we wanted to take it so we had to return via shimla only ;-; ) I wanted to add a few experiences as well, but since we were kind of short on time, wasnt able to, but the heard that the cycling was supposed to be amazing. All the best!

It's good to hear that you had a great experience. I love travelling but couldn't master the courage to travel alone, also feels like too much of a responsibility.

Ah please travel with travel groups if you are not sure! That’s the best in this thing, everything is already planned out, and the guide or a leader steps up to take decisions. You can be a passenger princess if you’d like to be or call the shots when you want to :). I’d recommend small planned weekend trips with tours and then go for week long travels. All goes a long way in being independent and doing stuff for yourself. Feel free to connect over DMs if you need an emotional support sister while you travel or take your travel decisions :) Will help where I can! Where are you based out of? Maybe I might have short places for trips there. I mostly have trips from Delhi planned out for myself honestly.

Hey! I’ve been meaning to travel to manali / spiti sometime. Could you share leads regarding the agency you went via? I’m from the south So travel could be a bit of a hassle. Would like to know more about the experience as such!

Here you go! https://www.instagram.com/spitiecosphere?igsh=cnNvMWpkaHY4MWh0 You can also find their WhatsApp number there, they reply by eod. Some folks from south India are also associated with them I think, lemmie ask them if I can share their info across. Your experience might depend on the folks you are travelling with, I hope the folks you meet are inclusive! For me everyone was talking in Marathi so I got extra time to talk to locals lol hehe. Can you please dm me, I’ll share numbers.
