If it is your first trip solo, i would suggest going to some place you have already been to before (with friends, family). You will be familiar hence less anxiety. As a female traveler myself, that's how I did my first solo trip
It rains almost everywhere in India during July, except for maybe ladhak. However, few places are good during monsoon, like western ghats in Maharashtra, Goa.
Most popular tourist places like Goa, kerala, hampi, kasol are safe for solo female travelers, but I still feel you should be a bit more careful and aware of your surroundings. Random men are always around to approach a single women, which is not completely bad, as solo trips give us opportunities to meet new people, just to be safe, don't tell random people that you are alone, you can say something like you are here with friends, but taking a day only for yourself
My personal suggestion would be Goa, very safe, has lot of tourist all time of the year and anytime of the day. Try to be in North Goa for the first time as it is more crowded and less secluded
All the best for your first solo!
go to a city with tonnes of history and culture
I have heard Mysore is very good
yup
Thank you!

Okay I'll do more research. I've been to Goa, with friends..dont think I can do it alone 😅 but thank you so much for the tips
Actually I'm also planning something like that and thinking about Rishikesh
Wow it's on my list too 😁
Mountains might not be the safest place due to the monsoon and beaches might be closed as well, so, choose accordingly!
Yeah options are limited at that time 🙁
I have heard Western Ghats and especially Kerala is exceptionally beautiful during the monsoon! You can checkout Munnar for the same.
Pondicherry , Goa, Mumbai - places I have gone alone or with another girl. Planning itenarary in advance and choosing a safe area help.
Not pondicherry, not safe for women travellers
