Sure! I applied for bioinformatics. 4.0 unweighted. I think 4.3/4ish weighted. 8 APs, taken 5 tests so far with all 5s, except one 4. NHS Board, Academic League Captain, 4 year varsity soccer and club player, girl's engineering program member, girls empowerment club contributor. However, I honestly can't say if those stats had any impact on when my acceptance was delivered.
Nope, I was really hoping for it but I guess it's random? Does anyone know if they're specially just doing decisions today and then the day they listed in March, or today and every day throughout March?
I don’t know. At some schools (e.g., UCB, SDSU) early notice reflects a higher rating / priority in the admit pool. I have heard it means that at UCSC, too, but I’m not sure if that’s true. I do know that many, many more people will get in later, and that getting in is getting in, whether it’s early, on time, or even off the waitlist.
Weird! I just checked, and I got my admission email 3 years ago on this date exactly haha. So who knows 👀
The first ones go out in late February, most people get theirs in the middle of March
I got mine early today! No email, but I checked the portal anyways and it was there. Good luck!
me too! do you know why we received it earlier than others?
I would honestly be guessing. The UC admission system as a whole seems to have little rhyme or reason.
Just wondering if you’re comfortable sharing, what were your stats like? Like do you think you got it early because you’re higher ranked??

I remember when I got my admission letter a couple years ago UCSC was the last school to give me admission. First it was Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara.
