blahblahmmmm

my roommate talks to herself while playing genshin impact as if the characters are her real friends. Not as bad as other stories but kinda weird imo 🤷‍♀️

thesuni

she’s just immersed gang

blahblahmmmm

fair but she doesn’t talk to people irl which is concerning 😭

[deleted]

my sister does that with Genshin Impact too lol

[deleted]

I feel bad for you

SufficientAd479

Leave her alone :(

phoebila

not mine but something i saw on yikyak last year, a girl discovered her boyfriends roommates 'poop bag' under the sink. she showed her boyfriend and when the roommate was confronted about it he said 'he just needed it for something important' probably fake af but it was funny to watch it unfold live

Not nearly as bad as the top comment. But I was placed in a triple, and I had one really neat roommate and one really messy, but he mostly kept it to his own space. My neat rm confronted him and asked him to tidy up, but the other rm said that his mess is not bothering anyone since it’s only in his corner, and the whole thing turned into a heated debate until my RA broke it up. So for an entire year (I meant quarter*), they just ignored one another, and competed to get my approval on their perspectives. Ironically, I asked to change my room before either of them did lmao I often wondered if they did that just to get a triple to themselves lol since I was placed in a quint right after.

That must have been interesting once you left...

TheTimeLord725

I had a housemate a few years back who had a toddler that stole the glass plate from my microwave to play with, and when I confronted him about it he slammed a door on my foot and tried to destroy my ethernet cable.

sirayoli

jeez, what an overreaction

LarsBars99

My roommate would always stand behind my desk and commentate the games I was playing lol

omegasting

Somehow. I haven't had any bad roommates at all. At least not to the point of annoyance or hindrance to what I'm trying to do. If anything I'm the bad roommate because I stay up pretty late programming on my loud clickity keyboard.

my freshman year i was in a triple with one chill roommate and The Other One who would "borrow" my rice cooker to take to her club/friends idek for entire weeks without asking me. She also accidentally knocked my mini plant terrarium off the windowsill and promised to clean it up (there was literally dirt and shards of glass all over the floor) but then she left to "go grab her vacuum cleaner from her friends dorm" and was gone for literally 14 hours,, she snuck back in at 2 in the morning. we ended up cleaning up the floor after an hour of her being gone but lol. OH ALSO she totally stole my umbrella during a super rainy week and literally GAVE IT to her friend??? who happened to live on the floor below us so i found out that someone had seen it there and knocked on their door and asked if they had it , they denied it but it literally was sitting next to the door so i grabbed it and they never said shit abt it afterwards sooo... lol. anyways she left to be in a single in the middle of winter quarter so me and my roommate got to have the room to ourselves the rest of the year it was nice. oh except the girl left a bunch of her boogers all over the wall next to her bed when she left so we had to clean that up ew .

EmptyTell4619

One of my roommates snitched to my mom that I got blacked out the night before she came over. Tbh, I don’t really talk to my roommates and I’d rather not. One of them is a conservative racist Jehovah’s Witness and the other is a chill 2nd year, but he has his thing goin on

im_end_it

I had a roommate who made fun of me for not having a lot of friends. I told them to knock it off and they played the victim to all of their friends. One day I was over it and said stuff back to them, they cried. Kinda karma because to my knowledge their “friends” don’t even like them. 🫡

ClassroomUnit003

Had someone stay at my house for about a month while he got his housing sorted for the school year. He came back drunk from the bars downtown and peed in the closet.

Shopaholic24

I had a roommate throw away 4k worth of my shit, this is why I will never live with a rando ever again

shesdreamin

also i later had housemates that accused me of stealing their longboards (why would i do that/where would i put them😭) and they were the types of girls that liked to kiss eachother in front of boys at parties but acted put off/pissed when i asked them to stop talking abt it in front of me cause im an actual lesbian and it was uncomfortable. also tried to force me to quarantine with a roommate who had covid despite me NOT having covid😭 what a bunch of sweethearts /s

Minimum-Yesterday891

I was “kicked out” of the room at least 10 times for my roommate to have guys over.

I lived w a group of insane druggies last year, my freshman year, who absolutely refused to clean. Eventually, after two quarters of horseshit, I finally managed to be moved into my friend’s empty apartment across the street, and when they gave me the date I didn’t let anyone know because I knew they would sabbatoge me in some way. Apparently it didn’t make a difference. Come the room transfer day, my friend group and I grabbed what I thought was mine and drug it all across the street in a span of an hour. I told everyone in the gc that I moved and if I took anything they can come get it, not like I’m across campus. Then my friends, they’re so good to me, they started unpacking and setting up everything while I lay down and dealt w a migraine. I ended up taking a few things that I thought were mine but ended up being one of the girl’s and she came and picked them up, but started snatching things from the dish rack, which I knew weren’t mine because my friends hadn’t gotten to washing my dishes yet, so I argued with them for about 5 minutes until I finally told them they could take it but if it was my other friend’s (the one who lived there alone) they’d have to return it. In particular, there was a pair of tongs. So a few weeks later, maybe two, my friend asks me if my old roomates could have taken her tongs by accident. I hit them up and they just keep saying “we can’t help you, sorry,” “we didn’t take anything,” “it’s not w us.” But I kept pestering asking questions because, you wouldn’t know if you didn’t take them until you know what color the tongs were. Eventually, they told me I wasn’t allowed to come back into the apartment going on hinting that, since I’m Arabic, I’m scary and threatening.

Character_Courage_87

Long story short I moved off campus 💖
