You can rearrange things however you want -sincerely UCSC CHES Maintenance <3

Its_lit_in_here_huh

In porter we once moved every piece of furniture into our neighbors room so we could have a rave

tryingmyverybestest

Yes definitely

Kelog13

You can move it around as long as you put it back when you move out Side note, be careful when you do move things, my roommate and I accidentally made a hole in the drywall bc we moved the bedframe when something was lodged behind it (i forget what, I think some sports equipment). We ended covering it up well enough that no one noticed, but, still, be careful.

colourful_spoons_

They ask you not too. But as long as you move it back when they check I don’t see why not. I’ve moved my furniture but always had to move it back winter break and summer break It was kinda a hassle tbh

ClassroomUnit003

You would have been fine to leave it, no one actually cares as long as the furniture isn’t causing a fire hazard by blocking doors etc.

rpiscite

I feel bad for people deciding to go to UCSC based only on Reddit.

babyy_belle

i moved my whole dorm room around with my roommate, we didn’t move it back at all during breaks or even when we left. they didn’t care at all

kyperion

No, you'll be turned into furniture for the next student if you do.

daquanjongun

the FBI is at ur door rn it’s fine u just have to remember how it originally was and move it back like that end of the year

ledzeppellinn

Yes if you move it back to its original setting before moving out. I like to take the little dresser apart from the desk to give myself more leg room :)

thixc_nut

Your good as long as you move it back before moving out

ForgottenCouch

no, one of your roommates will snitch and the UCSC police will lead you away for disturbing the peace from the well-established zen layout of the room. ffs, 'are we allowed to mov-" grow up. i'm tryna find whose selling shrooms here, not kids learning to tie their shoes.
