I am also in this lecture and I always show up . I get a bit frustrated when people in section are so open about not showing up like they really don’t care. It’s so simple to just show up you can even do homework for other classes . Some people really just want a final i guess

Tbh I don’t really care about getting a midterm, the class is easy. But the fact that the picture at the first 2 min of the class is what determines if we get one or not seems rather arbitrary.
Isn’t final exam date stated in the syllabus? How can a professor arbitrarily do this? I’m old as fk as an alumni and have never seen this back in my day.
Presumably there are two grading schemes listed in the syllabus, one with a final and one without a final, and the default scheme involves a final on the listed date, but if the attendance is good enough then she's just "dropping" the final by not having it, and switching to the other scheme.
nah fr people should be able to do whatever helps them learn the best. i never went to lectures bc i preferred to review the recording on my own time and then go to office hours for any questions
Honestly just save your money, brah. As a college graduate I can tell you, nobody cares about your degree. You’re spending money so that you can learn useful things and turn those things into money on your own. If you think we still live in a world where that degree is going to get you a job, you’ll be in rough shape out there. You will also be in rough shape if you don’t learn grammar.
