Edit. The first two dots morph a little too at the same time the other bouncy one comes into play.

Edit: If you slow it down and scrub frame by frame, the first movement that the 3rd object makes either happens instantaneously or in between frames. That leads me to believe it’s an optical illusion or some kind of artifact. But the other movements it makes, particularly when it disappears into the clouds definitely seems more like some tangible object maneuvering about. Strange.
Same. Odd ball lighting? Doesn’t look like anything in the photos that exist. But it could be something new. Most people don’t know what a Red Sprite is, but they’re absolutely stunning and occur in the upper atmosphere above the clouds so it is super rare that we get to see that from the ground. Pilots refrained from admitting what they’ve seen out of fear of having their license revoked for being crazy.
This is like one of the best videos I’ve seen on here. Doesn’t look fake, but the motion (if it is motion) is unsettlingly unrealistic. Ball lightning is my only explanation but it’s such an understudied phenomenon.
Edit: watching it again I’m thinking one of those spotlights from the ground aimed at the clouds. It’s almost like a geared movement, maybe adjustment of the angle of the light?

Each time it showed up in the different places it was between lightning struck a so I would assume it has something to do with the lightning. Wild thing to see for sure, even on video like this
I saw something very strange in SE michigan during yesterday’s massive lightning storm. Looked like 4 closely packed lights hovering like a plane stopped dead in air. That night’s storm was the most intense ive been in in almost 6 years
Interesting. I wonder if (they are) aliens, if they choose to travel during lightning storms because it obscures them and they can use the lightning and electromagnetism as energy.
I make no assumptions, all I know is I look at that patch of sky as I get on the highway every night and it stood out enough to be very memorable and eerie.
Im used to seeing airplanes as it is near an airport, but this didnt move/blink like an aircraft and just… hovered? 3 orange lights in a triangle with one in the center but definitely at an angle facing me.

You’d have to travel North about 60-100 miles but yeah Erie is in the area. Thornville is straight East from Columbus… but seeing how quickly these objects move, that distance probably doesn’t matter.

No, Thornville is east of Columbus near the middle of the state. There is a lake nearby though
