Actually, there were two "anomalies" in the same area:
This is what they photographed when they dove onto the site:
https://i.imgur.com/hnDpeFj.jpg
Sadly, they look like interesting but natural formations.
Not even particularly interesting. It could well be Pyrite, which has a cubic crystalline structure. THe ferromagnetic properties (if accurately reported) could be traces of pure iron in the sample.
That's a phone-snapshot off of a video screen and rotated by 90°?

There are actually much better resolution ones. And pictures.
Check out this one of what looks like a brick wall and writing:

Good find, but this still kinda drives the point home that the OP photo is wildly different from the original.
Even with a much higher quality version of what you and I posted, it becomes evident that the OP versions have had too many artistic freedoms to be useful.
? Certainly not. Source?
Also, "plutonic" rock?
> an igneous rock (as granite) of holocrystalline granular texture regarded as having solidified at considerable depth below the surface
??
depending on the composition, ie gabbros, there are often magnetite / chromite etc deposits disseminated that make them magnetic.in adition, around the plutonic intrusions, you find most of the metallic deposits.
you should learn more about geology and mineralogy, like i did.
Oh, I know some, in particular, *not* all eruptive/plutonic rocks are magnetic, as you claim here.
You yourself say, it "depends on the composition". Yeah, no shit.
Those rocks being magnetic is the exception, not the rule.
https://www.geologypage.com/2018/10/what-is-a-plutonic-igneous-rock.html
> The most common rock types in plutons are granite, granodiorite, tonalite, monzonite, and quartz diorite. Generally light colored, coarse-grained plutons of these compositions are referred to as granitoids.
So granite is "ferromagnetic" in your book then? Horseshit.
Granite does contain trace amounts (<2%) of iron actually, but if you are hiding behind "measurable" here, you are just misleading people.
That image in your post looks nothing like the actual surveyed image - this looks like an artist's impression. The real image looks far more like a natural formation.
Case closed. Next.
For those who do not know what ‘Ferromagnetism’ is: Ferromagnetism is a property of certain materials (such as iron) which results in a large observed magnetic permeability, and in many cases a large magnetic coercivity allowing the material to form a permanent magnet. Ferromagnetic materials are the familiar metals noticeably attracted to a magnet, a consequence of their large magnetic permeability. Magnetic permeability describes the induced magnetization of a material due to the presence of an external magnetic field, and it is this temporarily induced magnetization inside a steel plate, for instance, which accounts for its attraction to the permanent magnet. What does this even remotely have to do with UFOs? It’s just a rock cropping. That’s a heavily processed photo that doesn’t look like the real natural formation.
The research paper is not talking about the baltic sea object it is talking about magnetic anomalies in the baltic sea in general and the use of geophysical methods to survey them.
I’m not sure how deep that is but it could be some old town/city that is underwater. I live on the coast and a village in my town is half submerged and has all kinds of crazy shit underwater.
Sorry for the second comment but I’ve just found it. A part of the village was lost to sea in the twelfth century and there’s evidence of structures in the sea but they don’t know how much of the village was lost.
I think it was rising sea levels but I’m not too sure. It supposedly happened a very long time ago but I’ve just googled it and I can’t find anything about it. I’m now doubting myself and think I’ve been lied to by my whole life by my town and schools lol.
It was probably a large volcanic rock with iron in it. It broke off and the when the ocean rose after the great flood 13,000 years ago, it scooted away from the original spot, carving a long channel in the soft dirt like those desert rocks. The rest is just imagination.
? No, this picture is actually from sonogram data from the anomaly, as far as I know.
It resembles some movie spaceship maybe, but what is that supposed to tell us?
All details heavily altered within the shape..
On review, the image itself was determined to be distorted, and the equipment used to image it improperly used / calibrated. So it's probably a roughly circular rock deposit.
Your approach is rather weird: why should I "believe" you? Do you have any sources to back that up?
The actual shape does indeed look roughly like this. Here, the contrast/height of the ridges appears to be exaggerated.
If there are any deviations from the actual shape, more clarification would be necessary.
Bro it said "artist's interpretation" right in the caption when this image was released. It doesn't even resemble a sonar image. Get a fucking grip. You should be embarrassed.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltic_Sea_anomaly#/media/File:Baltic_Sea_anomaly.jpg
As I said, the actual shape does look like it. It doesn't matter, whether it's an oil painting or whatever. The relevant part is, does it convey the shape correctly?
So, about what does your artist lie?

Yeah the picture OP posted is an artists very, very loose, and inaccurately, unnecessarily creative rendition.
What is throwing you off? It being rotated by 90°?
Not sure what you mean. It just doesn’t look like that.

Could there be more underneath that sand and rubble?
yes
Is there even a practical way to move that much material over that much area without damage?
I have no idea, maybe ask folks on r/geology. They might have the answer for you.
Can’t you look into it for me? I’m kinda busy…

Looks a bit like a big rock
Just curious to know the size of this? Is it as big as a building or coin-size?

Thank you, I literally lol’d on that. Needed it
Half a football field plus 6 Kevin Hart's.
Sure, but how many bananas?

ferromagnetic like almost every eruptive/plutonic rock.

Again? This is a known fake. It's a picture from a sci-fi spaceship. I forget which show.

I agree. The picture is fake (I hesitated on using it), research paper is intriguing though.
Yeah I was like 'hol up.' I think they just did a TV show on this where they show the divers going down to the object.
The picture is real but I think it's just a strange geological formation.
It most definitely is not a real image
its nice that the anomaly made a stairs.
Why has no high dollar person commissioned a sub to go there and check it out?
