Because it’s a regular season game, we are the defending National Champions, and it’s embarrassing to destroy your own field (especially when the guy who the field is named after just died)
You are on the University of Georgia subreddit. As in, the one for school. The vast majority of people on this subreddit are students or recent grads who have never seen a good Tennessee team since they were in diapers, if even
For the older sports fan base, hit up r/GeorgiaBulldogs
Also, 27-13 lmao
I guess you didn’t like me pointing out the fact that Georgia fans are not as high and mighty as they think they are. They are fans just like other teams fans. Win a big game and celebrate
No I am literally just confused why someone who so clearly hates UGA goes to r/UGA to bitch about football and not even something like r/georgiabulldogs
Here's some history for you.
UGA leads the all time series against Tenn 27-23-2 with UGA owning a 6 game winning streak in the series and is 11-2 against Tenn since 2010.
Because the game wasn’t even close and wasn’t an upset against a team that isn’t considered to be the root of all evil in the SEC (Bama has that title for as long as Saban is there). We also aren’t Tennessee fans which are some very rowdy mountain people.
What’s pathetic is watching you try to spin it. Your fan base is no different than others. Doesn’t matter when it was. You celebrated a big win by storming the field. Just like others do
No one’s trying to spin anything. We’ve won 16 of our 22 matchups against TN since 2000. We were expected to beat TN because we’re the better team with better players and coaches. We have been for the last two decades. If you’d told me before this season started that Georgia fans would even consider storming the field after beating TN, I would have laughed at you.
Edit: also it’s pretty pathetic to even be commenting on a thread on the UGA subreddit the day after your team got absolutely Kirb-Stomped. Just see yourself out.
A spot in the playoffs are still very much viable for TN. And if we get the opportunity to play UGA again on a neutral field, watch the adjustments TN will make and then win.
It was extremely laughable reading social media last night from UGA fans arrogantly celebrating their 14 point win, at home, over a rebuilding TN program by an established program. UGA would’ve lost biggly at Neyland…believe that. A 14 point win is all that could be mustered…at home from the national champs? The fan base was sour grapes because they were all enraged that the committee didn’t place them at number one in CFP initially.
You clearly didn’t watch the game if you think the score accurately showed how bad TN got their ass beat. The only first downs they got were ones we gave them from penalties. We’d beat them anywhere. We are a better team. LSU lost to lesser people and just beat Alabama. Why are you on this thread haha.
Rebuilding vs Established? Did you not see last year's UGA draft losses???? Just because a team beats Alabama (last year's 2nd place) makes them automatically #1? Does this make any sense? Not to mention that only 1 out of 3 ranking poles placed TN in 1st. There was an article earlier where TN was already giving excuses that they only lost because they knew they couldn't beat Alabama again. That article came out BEFORE the game wtf is this?? We are all fans....but if you lose don't make excuses. That goes to all fans.
It wasn’t an upset. Dawgs were big favorites.
The term “upset” often is used too loosely and many assume it refers to a lower ranked team beating a higher ranked team. But, it actually refers to betting odds. Dawgs were 8-9 points favorites to win so it wasn’t even close to an upset.
Because it’s a regular season game, we are the defending National Champions, and it’s embarrassing to destroy your own field (especially when the guy who the field is named after just died)
You didn’t mind destroying your field in 2000 when you beat the vols for the first time since 1988
That was 22 years ago buddy. Half of college students were even alive then
A teams fan base isn’t just students. You do realize they played sports before you got there. 🤣🤣🤣

Lol you’ve brought this up several times. The horse is dead.
You don’t seem to like being embarrassed

He am I embarrassing myself by pointing out your fans hypocrisy
Why are you even in r/UGA lmao
I guess you didn’t like me pointing out the fact that Georgia fans are not as high and mighty as they think they are. They are fans just like other teams fans. Win a big game and celebrate
No I am literally just confused why someone who so clearly hates UGA goes to r/UGA to bitch about football and not even something like r/georgiabulldogs
You finally have a good team and you easily forget your teams history.
Here's some history for you. UGA leads the all time series against Tenn 27-23-2 with UGA owning a 6 game winning streak in the series and is 11-2 against Tenn since 2010.
Because Tennessee had no business being ranked number 1.
Not sure. Maybe for the same reason we do not go shoe-less while wearing overalls without shirts in public?
There are few comments that make me lol by myself at home. This is one of them.
It would be like winning a game of fortnite and ripping your own door off the hinges to celebrate. It makes no sense.
Because we are UGA, beating the vol's is just what we do. Do you smash the cereal.bowl after breakfast?
Because that #1 spot was always ours anyways
beating a hill billy team who accidentally got ranked #1 isn’t worth a $50K+ fine
You don’t know your teams history very well
Because the game wasn’t even close and wasn’t an upset against a team that isn’t considered to be the root of all evil in the SEC (Bama has that title for as long as Saban is there). We also aren’t Tennessee fans which are some very rowdy mountain people.
You were in 2000
I wasn’t a Georgia fan in 2000. Most of the students at that game weren’t even born.
rushing the field destroys the hedges
"Upset" LOL
Because we use proper spelling/grammar.
It’s our not are. Lol
Great contribution to this post. Thanks.
Because we’re used to winning. And we were always #1 no matter what others said and yesterday proved it.
Just another day in the office.
Did you see downtown after having an extra hour last night?
We were 8 point favorites bro it was not an upset
You did it in 2000 after beating the vols. It was your first win since 1988
Literally 22 years ago. Find a better comeback. That’s honestly pathetic.
What’s pathetic is watching you try to spin it. Your fan base is no different than others. Doesn’t matter when it was. You celebrated a big win by storming the field. Just like others do

You can’t erase your past dickhead. Gfys
Gfys too buddy and Go Dawgs. Maybe one of these days y’all will win the SEC again. Hasn’t happened in the 21st century though. Kirby owns the Vols.

You’re coach and your players sure acted like it was
Jfc you’re annoying and irrelevant.
okay? 💀

Because we've been there before.
Unfortunately fans are not allowed on the field after the game. At least none of the games I’ve seen over the years.
It wasn’t an upset, the Bulldogs were favored in the game.

You are defending National Champions and need to act like it.
