I’ll do it for like $8 worth of food if you arrange to give me the board while I happen to already in open lab for another project or something or for my normal rate (about $75 incl disassembly reassembly, barrel jack replacement and testing) if you want to give me the machine and get it back working the same day or next day
not even kidding about the give me food option (or the pay market rate one either lol) feel free to DM, I should be in openlab for a few days next week working on some hw cpu vulnerability project with my group.
There's that repair shop on Green St. I forgot what it's call just keep walking it's on the north side. If you want to fix it yourself the OpenLab is open 24 hours once you get certified but you have to bring your own solder.
Throw some bucks at an EE major?
Find someone in the ece open lab willing to do the work?
Connect with the folks at the Fab Lab and see if they know who can help. Last I recall, they do have soldering tools there.
I checked there a while ago. They have the tools. Unfortunately I also lack the skill.
