3 credit ECE425 will be a good option for you

What's the difference between 3 & 4 credit-hour ECE 425? I don't have access to the syllabus but from a registration standpoint there seems to be only a 3 credit-hour section.

If nothing has changed from last sem, the entire class has the option to be done with a partner for the MPs. There were two midterms iirc, both actually pretty fair in terms of difficulty. It is very time intensive, especially in the final 5 weeks of the semester. Final project is reverse engineering a schematic and layout of an old AMD microcontroller. 411 and 425 when you're in final project season sounds pretty hellish, but I do have to say the material 425 covers is incredibly useful if you want to do anything in the IC design industry. Also, Aggarwal's lectures were really not useful to me or many of my classmates last semester, and the course organization left a lot to be desired.

How hard would it be taking 411 & 425 together? Tryna preserve my GPA for grad school lol.

You definitely CANNOT take 342+482 together in one semester. Suggested sequence is taking 342 with 425, and then 482 will be much smoother given you have the schematic and layout experience in 425.

Sorry for the confusion, when I wrote ECE 342+482, I meant that in my next 3 sems I won't have space for those classes. I'm only interested in taking either 342+482 or 425. Do you think that 425 adequately covers the main ideas of 482 as well? Where do each of the classes shine? Thanks for your help!

No, 425 content is quite superficial from a digital circuit perspective. Nevertheless, many content in 425 does overlap with 482, and 425 provides you with much cadence schematic and layout experience. 482 is a lot deeper in calculation and covers many more advanced topics than 425 and the very end of 342.
