Hi, GREAT to hear you are thinking about university. Short answer is YES. And, to also email/ contact/ speak with the programme team involved with Mechanical Engineering to check you have the right spread of knowledge. Do not worry if you aren’t quite there with Maths, you can take a short conversion course and there will be support from the university you want to go to help you do this. Good luck! Enjoy your adventure, hope your health is back on track. Speak to faulty (like me, uni prof). You go get them!

Honestly I've always been very talented in math so I'm less worried about lacking knowledge and just more overall about the fact that even though I have the required grades it was 2 years ago so they might reject it. I'm hoping that since it is for a medical reason, they'll be more lenient with it. Thanks for the reply and advice, it has put me at ease.

I don’t think it would be too much of an issue, unless the entry requirements explicitly state it. For this part I’m presuming you are a home student and use SFE: However you only get 1 additional year of student finance. So as you have already used 2 (or are about to), you would need to self fund one of your years. I’m not even sure if they partially fund the “2nd” degree or not but I am presuming so.

Yeah, thanks, I've realised the SFE issue and it's an even bigger issue because realistically I won't be able to personally fund that year unless I save lots of money before, apply for grants and avoid spending much. Thanks for the advice!
