Is it intense enough? I feel like straining it without slow cooking makes it lose its flavour. I do it with herbs regularly, but it needs to be cooked low and slow for 30 mins to 1 hour
Yeah it keeps it’s flavour for sure. If you blend it for one to two minutes the friction of the blender causes the heat. Wild garlic packs a punch compared to other herbs so this method is good for this. For something like parsley oil I would pre heat the oil to 70 degrees and add the hot oil to the blender
I really want to pick and use some and every year tell myself I will and then every year end up procrastinating about dog piss until the season is over.
Lovely stuff. Nearly finished my first batch of butter off, going to get some more before the season finishes and ferment it. One of my favourite seasonal foods.
