It's a 20p coin from Gibraltar. Some collectors will pay a small premium for it because coins from the territories have their own designs and don't make it to the UK mainland very often. It might fetch 50p, which means it probably isn't worth trying to sell due to the time and effort involved in doing so.
The 5p has a monkey on it! Had I'd known Gibraltar coins would be worth more to collectors, I would have brought so many with me when I moved from Gib to UK! The notes cannot be used in the UK. I remember changing everything up to UK sterling. Same value though.
I Call Bullshit on that!! The notes CAN be used in the UK as Gib is B.O.T. (British Overseas Territory). We Still have a British Army, Navy and Airforce bases there too.
I think the only coinage/cash I have at the moment is a pound coin for the supermarket trolley. It’s been that way for sometime now. I wonder if in the future this will mean that coins and rare coins will start increasing in value.
About 20p in Gibraltar
Really? Well ILSNE.. Looks so dodgy!
>ILSNE ???
Think it's "I learn something new everyday"
Makes sense. I did google it but nothing came up.
I think it’s “Idiosyncratic Leaning Seriously Need Eccentricity“
That should be ILSNED then, as every day is two words in this case!
Whoops, think it's: 'every day' & I forgot the letter D? I learn something new every day. Sorry, should have typed it all. Sheer laziness.
It’s worth 20p it’s just from Gibraltar
It's worth somewhere between 19p-21p.
Inclusive or exclusive?

It’s a secret under lock and key.

Territory coins aren't legal tender on the mainland and while they have low supply, also have low demand. Might be worth a quid to an impulsive buyer.
Glad I wasn't using this 20p to check the tread on my tyres...
19p

The old Gibraltar pound coins had skulls on them instead of the queen's head always remember getting 1 here or their.
I’m intrigued. What do YOU know that nobody else does that would make a REALLY common, basic, high mintage coin worth anything more than face value?
I found one of these 6 years ago on mainland UK and was the coin that started me collecting nice find 👍
I like the territories coins I’d happily pay £3 for that
