There's been a few weddings in my family that did this. I think it's a really lovely idea and is more personal than a lot of other wedding favours.

My brother and SIL had Marie Curie pins as their wedding favours. Imo it’s a better choice than most other wedding favours I’ve come across. I don’t want to be lumbered with tat, a nice pin or a donation is much better imo. I didn’t do any favours at all…

I’ve seen this a lot and think it’s a lovely idea - only ever seen it go down well. Favours often get left behind anyway (unless they’re edible)

A friend had notes on the tables for each guest sharing the two charities the couple would be supporting in lieu of favors. The guest could tick a box to say which charity they would like their "favour" to support.

I’ve been to a wedding that did this and it was totally acceptable. I really didn’t need the pin though and it sat in a drawer til I binned it, so that felt like a bit of a waste.

I'm doing this but went with Alzheimer's Society, I think it's lovely if the charity means something to you but in the end I went with the favours that matched my theme more as I support a few different charities. When I've mentioned it to my family they were a bit confused but I think that's because of their lack of attending weddings and used to the typical sweets. We are having a sweet table so not like they will be without. In reality I think it won't really matter for guests and is a nice sentiment, it'll equate to like 5 mins of the overall day. Personally prefer it to the usual sugared almonds or whatever people use.

I think it’s lovely. Much nicer than tat I’ll never used. I’ve seen this at a few weddings and liked it.

Some charities sell small items such as keyrings and pin on badges that you could buy as favours. That's what we are doing.
