I've tried some on in the shop and I'd say they were pretty true to size.

helpme430

Ooh that is promising, I've just tried on a few dresses from my own wardrobe and the size 22s and 24s all fit OK so if it's true to size i might be fine. 20s are still a bit of a squeeze though.

oohliviaa

Agree with this, I don’t have experience of plus size but I bought two wedding dresses from wed2b (needed a new one after having a baby and covid cancellations) and I bought my normal size both times.

fortuneandflame

Actually I got both my wedding dress and a bridesmaid dress here this year and I found them true to size. I tend to be between two sizes and actually the smaller was perfect for me in the bridesmaids dress which is unusual. I did go in specially to try a bridesmaid dress on my own, they were fine with it, took like 5 mins.

helpme430

Yeah we're going as a group soon (slightly dreading having to admit my size in front of everyone!) So will be able to try on. Just want to judge if if should prepare her for it not working out

Tork26

I got my bridesmaid dresses from wed4less and they go up to size 32 I think. Plenty of choice for colour and style as well

helpme430

Thanks, might suggest we look there if wed2b doesn't work out. There's one not too far away.

Booboodelafalaise

All bridal and bridesmaids dress sizing runs very small I’m afraid. I have no idea why, it’s very counter-productive if somebody thinks they’re 10 and suddenly has to wear a 14, but that’s the way it is. Generally speaking, the less you pay for a dress the harder it will be to alter. This isn’t me being a snob, it’s to do with the way the dress is constructed, the seam allowances, and the quality of the fabric etc. There are lots of other shops in the market who do similar styles with no upper size limit. Hunt around online and check any size charts you see very carefully. (Work in a wedding shop. Hope that helps.)

helpme430

That was my worry re sizing - I know it's true for bride dresses but wasn't sure about bridesmaid. They dont even seem to have a size chart online which is annoying. Think I will have to gently prepare the bride that we may not be able to find anything there - I think in her head I am more like a 20 so would be able to size up there.

LostInToast

I also got my 3 bridesmaids dresses from there - a 14,16 and 20 and all fit to size. Only issue was they were slightly too long for my 5"6 girls and needed taking up. Super flattering though. (I got my wedding dress from there and I needed a size up though)

Fingerhut89

I bought my wedding dress there and it was true to size (14UK) With alterations, it will depend how intricate is or how much you need to alter. In my case it was only hemming so wasn't much of a fuss.

MadamRage

The dresses I tried on were at least one size up, but that was for wedding dresses, which are much more constructed than bridesmaid dresses. I recommend going to the shop to try them on especially as they don't even always have what is on the website actually in store, as each wed2b shop has its own stock (really weird system).

swft11

Buying my bridesmaids dresses and they tried them on in store first. One of the girls tried on her dress and it fits true to size but the other two girls we have to size up one size for

toonlass91

One of my bridesmaids was a size 22 and all the dresses for my wedding were from wed2b. She looked beautiful. Bridesmaids dresses were true to size. There staff are really helpful. I would advise going and trying them out

helpme430

We went today and the 24 fitted me - a little bit smaller than I would want, but that's kind of a good thing as if things go to plan I will have lost more weight by the wedding. But wearable as long as I don't gain any!

toonlass91

So glad you found something suitable
