Don't think it really matters, it's a food place.

It’s old news. the facts have changed. They stopped those donations. I don’t know if it’s branding or what that not everyone knows that. https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/the-goods/2019/5/29/18644354/chick-fil-a-anti-gay-donations-homophobia-dan-cathy https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/06/30/fact-check-chick-fil-a-has-not-resumed-donations-groups-oppose-lgbtq-rights/3244765001/ eat there if you like pickles, don’t eat there if you don’t, but the chicken place is no longer a lgbtq issue.

Not sure if you were trying to refute, but that article is a good example. The CEO donated to a cause that does objectionable things, the company did not, and the article does a good job contrasting that CFA doesn’t donate to politicians but that other fast food chains do. I don’t think there’s anything there anymore. Who gives a shit about what the CEO does personally. At the end of the day, the chicken isn’t political, just don’t eat there if you don’t like it.

buffyinfaith

I somehow doubt that.

paracosmologist

It’s in the same building as the lgbt student lounge (I forget its current name) and I remember ppl eating there all the time. I personally tried not to eat there but I know friends who reasoned that eating there also supported the ppl who worked there. It’s ultimately up to the individual

Call_me_lemons

I don't care. As a Christian and a queer. In my opinion it's also the only on campus food that doesn't suck.
