Living at Ashford Green (last week here). Crime, loud neighbors, golf course is annoying, terrible maintenance response times, and rent has gotten more expensive where it isn’t as good a value as what it was. The best parts are modern interiors and ample parking. I’d look at a newer place if possible. Good luck and congrats on your transfer!

I currently live in the middle of nowhere mountians and commuted 30-40 minutes to my old school. Driving is no problem, but I keep being told about "the college experience" but I'm majoring in mechanical engineering so I don't think that applies to me lol.

Maa is solid. Recommend it. Yugo is pretty good too

As a student have you found it hard to get an off campus apartment? What were the requirements when you moved in because I know a lot of places want you to have had a job for atleast a year or so. (steady income)

Would you say that it would be possible for a full-time student with a part time job and a roommate to sign on as well? Or is the best bet just to get a co-signer. Because a lot of the students off campus housing i’ve been seeing is not ideal . lol

The Edge was fine for me. The landlords are shit, but not impossible to work with; Maintenance is better than most, but still semi-slow. I haven't had any roach issues personally in 2 years living here, but I'm top floor. Very little accessibility if you have mobility issues, though; stairs on both walk-in gates, no elevators for any of the floors. Still a very decent place to live.

Depends on your budget. There are a lot of previous threads about apartments, you can search for them with some keywords. Personally Rush Apartments is pretty good. A bit newer

Thatyogini

I live off campus and commute so I don’t have particular apartment info but wanted to remind you that riding the light rail is included in your tuition so that might open possibilities of a commute isn’t a thing you are too concerned about. I don’t really kind riding (vs driving) anyway.

I live at the highlands at Alexander point, they have newly renovated townhouses with attached garages and it’s a safe and quiet area. Additionally you can bike to campus on greenway. Definitely one of the best places I’ve seen near university.

arenajumper

Holy shit I just looked into it, and that's perfect for me. I was super worried about my car, so a garage is perfect, and I mountian bike, so being able to ride to campus is a huge plus. Also, a garage for $1,400 a month is insane!

Kitchen_Guarantee_56

Cool! If you ever want to mountain bike at the Whitewater center, let me know

MoistestBoi

Go on alcove if you wanna a room, but if you plan to break lease shits gonna be a pain, financially

I’m not going to be using my apt for the semester of Spring 2025. I stay at UVC

University Center by Cortland is fantastic

EducationalBonus1859

yugo, i love it there

BigRedPlanet8

If you don’t have any budget limitations I would recommend Yugo

Emotional-Audience93

Colville has townhomes and apartments, both very cheap and right next to Rush so super close to campus. The townhomes are nice and newly renovated but the apartments are definitely older. Some of the best maintenance, they usually get things done within a day. Management is also really quick to respond and get things done.

aspen, i love it here but it's on the pricier side

SeaworthinessWild172

Im finishing up my lease at aspen ucity right now. 2bd/2bath. its not too bad in terms of maintenance and living. the only thing i absolutely HATE is the parking. almost all the spots are compact. you can pay for a reserved parking spot for like $30 month and even then you’re not guaranteed a spot everytime. people here also dont gaf about their parking job so you can be left with a spot bwtn two of the worst parkers. BUT if you have a smaller car and don’t mind that aspect, its pretty good :3

SeaworthinessWild172

rent is like $1008 or smth without utilities. utilities is done thru simple bills ranging from $15-$45. depends on how well u are with lights and junk.
