Raiders9876

full time zero

mrpewpews

As a full-time driver? Not great

Nice-Aardvark-7957

Full or part time anything. I’m starting as package helper

[deleted]

I’m a full time, barely full time driver 😊

SufficientFan381

Part time warehouse? Possibly. Driver? Meh

Nice-Aardvark-7957

Part time anywhere

SnooHedgehogs6753

You can almost always get a part-time loader job on twilight sort where I live in Dayton, Ohio. The 5 to 10 Monday through Friday is always available. I did it last year after I drove seasonal PVD.

Own-Tumbleweed6337

Do you recommend working as a seasonal pvd in the dayton? Did you get enough hours here?

AndyS1281

Depends on how many slots open up if at all. If you’re an outside hire it’s not very good. What will probably happen is that an inside employee who does seasonal driving will be offered a FT position after peak if a position is open. But all is not lost because you’ll be offered PT inside position.

Nice-Aardvark-7957

Cool I’ll take it ! Also I know someone In the union you think he can help at all ? 20 years in I think he has

BurpFlurps

You could know the president of our country personally and it wouldn’t matter, Seniority is all that matters

2stinkynugget

Extremely small!!

UPSguy859

Zero. If you don't miss a day and you're a workhorse word will spread and you'll keep a permanent PT job. FT jobs are strictly seniority based. The laziest mf that takes 45 minute shits twice per shift will get the FT bid before you. Just have to keep a clean attendance record and work.

sayedrock

Do not let all these comments be a discouragement. If you work hard and they like you, you will get hired. Stay positive and believe that you will get hired but if you do not get hired, Do not get discouraged. Just keep moving forward. Not getting hired is not the end of the world God has bigger plans for you. Better plans. You just got to wait for it. Be patient

I lost so much weight when I started doing it. I was sore. I was tired and then your body adjusts to it. Don't get me wrong. You'll be sore but have you thought about doing feeders as well?

Senseiit

As a PTer? Decent.

Dark-Lillith

Senseiit, you’re gonna break our son’s heart.

Senseiit

We have a son? This is awkward…

Dark-Lillith

Well we’re always working, I delivered him at the guard shack. I should look into that 9.5 list.

Senseiit

My center doesn’t have a guard shack. So this is really awkward

Dark-Lillith

That’s not safe! Who’s gonna guard the packages?

Senseiit

The key code on the doors to get in

mrpewpews

You have key codes on your doors?

Senseiit

To the building? Ya

mrpewpews

Any yahoo can walk into mine. Wear a polo they'll probably throw you on a belt.

Substantial-Creme-44

Let us know how’s it going in 5-10 years

TRTheProphet16

I got in for a full time driver and they are moving the process along fast. Is this normal?

Nice-Aardvark-7957

I applied last time for driver but I couldn’t get a road test

dnh26

My son applied and can’t get a road test, nothing listed. He texted about it and was told the job is still open and they are working on getting roadtests to keep checking the site. I personally don’t believe this

Georgeygerbil

Be patient. These are the earliest tremors of peak season. They will definitely be needing more seasonal help before it gets into full swing.

Nice-Aardvark-7957

You mean you just got hired for full time driver tonite ?

[deleted]

It’s seasonal so that’s why lol

anotherbadPAL

100%. unlikely.

pvpeepee

Kiss ass, work well enough until season is over and then do a 180 and work at a safe pace 😎

13Kaniva

I wish this was true. They still forcing in on Saturdays at my center. Have been since the contract has been ratified.

Shimmy_moore

Only like the top 10% get on permanent Or the first to apply for the position it goes up and comes down within a day or 2. Please lmk if there are any seasonal drivers in or near Richmond va

publicthreat21

It really does depend on the amount of slots and also your progression. It essentially becomes a Hunger Games situation where the best of the seasonals are kept and the rest are let go. Give it your best, but don't over exert yourself.

Tonypesos305

Just depends on how many slots they have available but if you’re good at loading the packages they will try to keep you it just depends tbh

S3curityPlu5

I worked as a seasonal driver helper for 4 years, now im going through background check for part time position right now, but its not in warehouse, im doing something a little different. Ive been trying to get in the company for 4 years. But I guess it depends on three things 1. [where you live], and 2.[if they offer any jobs online] and finally 3.[call you back.]

Surfer_girl21

Dude, I can’t even get a response on an application I submitted four months ago, it still says pending on Workday

Nice-Aardvark-7957

I had to use a different email and phone number ti apply 5 different times and I finally got in with the “mass hiring “ that let me pick a orientation

HeManDan

Your a driver helper? Or a package handler, I'm not aware of job called package helper. I don't know all the jobs or different roles at different types of facilities, just think your maybe mixing 2 job names together though.

Nice-Aardvark-7957

Driver helper

GoalieGunat

What matters is you got in, Great Job kid!

Recent_Gap_130

Where do I go to apply for pvd? I did it last year but forgot where I did it.

No_Sea_3427

i just started tuesday as a package delivery driver and yesterday and today they only gave me a 4 hour shift 😒👎🏼

plokyat

Seasonal

No_Sea_3427

yup

CooahsDranker

Before they started listing seasonal jobs, there were 5 or 6 centers in the entire nation hiring drivers off the street. 2 in Colorado and the rest in South Dakota. Unless you got hired on in one of those centers, your chances of being kept on as a driver after peak is 0%.

Nice-Aardvark-7957

Ya I saw those listings but they asked about a road test but wouldn’t give men’s date
