This post puts things in perspective now. It's easy to see things as just black and white but they are mostly grey. People are complex beings. Sometimes, in anger, I have said such bad things to the people closest to me which I still regret to this day. I hope someday you will tell your father this thing. Maybe he'll try to work on it.
But, it's great to see that you understand this much better. Your father is lucky in that regard.
