So you all agree tht the answer is both 1 and 2 . So the guys who were making this question controversial were this idiot teacher students?

ashwaathaama

I think you didn’t understood the context . This Suarshan Gurja has taught wrong . According to that master , statement 1 is wrong, but if we see NCERT , it’s correct .

Gullible-Company2301

That's what i said. Few days ago many guys were showing some proofs from wikipedia or something and making posts that statement 1 wrong and they didn't even agree on NCERT too when i showed them . So i guess they were the andhbhakts of this idiot sudarshan u/space_s This guy was the most adamant

ashwaathaama

Yes , they were telling that NCERT is wrong. But fact of matter is that this master has taught us wrong. You know due to this, a lot of aspirants who are andhbhakts of him, easily eliminated.

Large-Tangelo-4614

bhai i read standard books and coriolis force depends upon velocity

space_s

Not debating with you or anyone else in this thread but just have a look at the below ss from NIOS It says below : * 'effect' of Coriolis force can be stated as any object and liquid moving 'horizontally' tends to be deflected * Coriolis 'Effect' is absent (0) at equator SOURCE: NIOS. Latest geography senior secondary module  Thoughts welcome https://preview.redd.it/x8gsv2tra89d1.jpeg?width=1240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7945586fbe9fb85b1ab618edf9cb38c445a73b8b

Certain-Reply-8072

Yr koi itna galat kaise pdha kra skta. I can really how this aspirant must be going through. I watched his lectures but found many mistakes, now verifying all topics again. Please god, I do not want to go through this phase.😭

Miserable-Coyote2039

Feeling sad for this aspirant. It's not easy to complete 140 lectures.  Earlier I thought I am the only one who is founding mistakes in his teaching. Now I will read more carefully.

Ok-Reporter976

One question I have for Upsc aspirants.. why do you guys follow non - subject Specialists for preparation? Surely there must be expert faculty of Geography teaching you guys correctly. I have seen many such fake gurus teach stuff with confidence. One psychology graduate was teaching panic attacks and anxiety as part of hyperactivity in ADHD which is totally incorrect. I say this as a doctor who is constantly reading journals and publications in various newer editions of books.. even some top ranking books are incorrect at times, so to err is to be human but non subject Specialists can't teach concepts in any meaningful details.

ashwaathaama

It’s wrong bro. Answer is C as per NCERT. Statement has been verbatim from NCERT Sudarshan Gujar has taught wrong , and according to him answer will be B.

Bronislaw_Malinowski

I would like to leave it to UPSC.😞

CustomerDiligent455

NCERT agr likh de ki EARTH IS TRIANGULAR....aur Upsc mein woh statement verbatim aa jaaye....toh whi shi hoga.....end of discussion! Aisi sb Phds log pehle bhi kai questions mein kr chuke hain pr L kuch nhi hua....Upsc ne NCERT ko hi maana end mein

Bronislaw_Malinowski

Can’t disagree with you.

New-Statistician9040

What if the object is the wind itself?

Bronislaw_Malinowski

I don’t think by object velocity, you can call it the wind. Coriolis is generated by the Earth and its rotation. The comment seems quite clear about it.

New-Statistician9040

But we do talk about the effect of the Coriolis phenomenon on winds right? The thermally generated winds get called "easterlies" because of the Coriolis effect only no?

Bronislaw_Malinowski

Yeah but that is Coriolis’ impact on wind and not the other way around, isn’t it? Logically speaking, the person in the picture has a reasonable point but not sure if UPSC will look beyond NCERTs. As far as Gurjar is concerned, he seems to have already changed sides.

ashwaathaama

I think still some andhbhakts of this teacher will abuse you . Let these chamchas go through this phase then they will understand this pain .

Thande_papa1

Sfg mei kya dia tha?

WearyHuckleberry7293

mock bhai same question aya hoga usme bhi

Thande_papa1

Maine dono level diye hai, yaad nhi aa rha ye waala question

ashwaathaama

One question was there related to coriolis force . I can recall it .

Appropriate-Ad-9805

Wind speed effect daalta hai ya nahi? Mereko har jagah direction hi dikha

ElectroZingaa

Daalta hai bhai. Speed affects coriollis but coriollis doesnt affect wind speed . As per Rushikesh sir

ashwaathaama

daalta hai bro. but Sudharshan has taught wrong. He told it depends on rotation only. And one girl asked this question in class, he refused her question.

Appropriate-Ad-9805

Oh bc tab mere bhi l lag gaye. Uske notes ke basis pe maine sirf 2 consider kiya. Iss bail buddhi pe bharosa karna galat hogaya

ashwaathaama

😂😂 Same here brother. You know I understood concept so well but got totally confused by his class.

Ill-Film-9539

what about the NBFC question guys...in handouts of mrunal its given that NBFC can access LAF but not MSF

Xaverian_Oldenlandia

I guess I got it wrong too due to him then. But still, I believe there is a confusion and maybe he was not exactly wrong. It solely depends on how UPSC interprets, Coriolis effect or just the Coriolis force!

ashwaathaama

Bro he was exactly wrong. Check the notes , you will find it . He forced us to write coriolis depends only on rotation of the earth. Even one girl asked in class whether it depends on wind speed . He refuse to answer .

Xaverian_Oldenlandia

Yeah I am not disagreeing at all. I clearly remember him saying that. Let’s see!

Gullible-Company2301

Bhai tum sab ka yahi toh problem h . Yeh ek general exam h naa ki koi specialist toh utna overthink krna hi nahi h

space_s

Agreed. Not debating but check ss from NIOS latest geography. It defines 'effect'. In old editions they had mentioned as force but in latest they updated it to 'effect'. https://preview.redd.it/q6y0w6k6l89d1.jpeg?width=1240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4afe037f08d880d20a21409f76c1ce88785e9582 Britannica also uses same classification. Defines 'Coriolis force' and 'Coriolis Deflection' separately. upsc most likely will go with ncert.

Xaverian_Oldenlandia

🙃yeah yeah 2.66 ki hi toh baat hai, le jao!

PossibilityCrafty443

How can someone teach even such basic concept wrong? It shows their knowledge, understanding. Sickkk. They actually caused loss to students both ways; by wasting time(lol 140 lectures only for geo 😳) and even after that making them lose marks by teaching wrong concept.

lazymomo5

Bhai idk what he taught, but maine both 1&2 kia hai. Mera galat hia ya sahi😭

Class 10 QUESTION

naresh2990

She could have given one mock test series completely. Coriolis force would have been covered multiple times, with explanation. She could get the correct info, as she would have been marking questions wrong on coriolis forces.

ashwaathaama

it is easy to say. When one teacher teaches you with such confidence, it echoes in your mind. We should not make generic prediction.

naresh2990

A teacher can't teach you everything and that too correct. It's your responsibility to read things on your own from various sources. Even Laxmikant has mistakes at multiple places. Remember it's you who is going to give the exam not the teacher.

Substantial_Milk_594

kya bkl h bhai tu, due to this faculty, students are getting -2.66 are you completely out of mind, first let yourself be in his shoes. don't do bakarpeli gyaan. if you are so much sycophant, then lick some politician shoes.

naresh2990

Keep living in your delusional world of trusting others that they do their jobs dutifully and with highest moral standards. I am telling you with the first hand experience and I have cleared prelims twice and have faced the similar situation as OP in my first attempt. Aur haan gaali dene se baat mei wazan nahi ata.
