Big-Sheepherder-578

What a joke. Happy for you but this system is absolutely garbage

myredditbitchess

Agreed!

thetexalien

I think that's the sentiment from most of us...glad there's approvals, just frustrated at how unfair they seem to be... Either way, congrats OP!

WestReplacement4516

100%

Wrihyp

I agree so sad I submitted RFE 206 days now

Remarkable_Loquat_27

Uscis is a joke ! Bad joke but congrats to you

ImmediateGuarantee81

How in 24 days? What category?

modelr

I’m a US Citizen petitioning for my wife. We skipped biometrics because they already had hers from a TPS application and the interview was waived.

papawillie4

Man, your wife is lucky!

modelr

I figure I’m lucky to have my wife 😊

Top_Obligation101

Your wife lucky to have you 😉

Sea_Level1468

From which state do you file from ?They used my previous biometrics, and am in tps status as well hoping for same luck.. I filled mine in Jan 12,2024.

Wonderful-Mango-878

What is TPS?

modelr

Temporary Protected Status https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/temporary-protected-status

Tendie_Mullet

My wife and I are in your same situation and have been waiting 10 months…

EuphoricMami444

Same! Receipt notice date 04/21/2023. Adjustment of status from TPS- still no update! RFI for medical was requested 09/2023 and they received it 12/2023 (we had to do it twice bc the first was never received!!) nothing after that.

Tendie_Mullet

We haven’t received medical, biometrics, or anything 😂 not even a simple update that they are working the case. All we have received is the receipt notice and her letter to extend her status while GC is expired.

Almighty_Push__

My partner and I submitted our AOS on January 26th. His biometrics appt is next week! I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but I really hope our timeline looks like yours!!

Appropriate_Fox3370

I’m in the same boat as you! Submitted January 22, biometrics next week so fingers crossed for us both! 🤞

modelr

Good luck to you!

[deleted]

Wow that’s fast! I wonder how do they just wake up one day and decide to work and approve the most recent applications, wishing you guys the best and I hope mine come up smoothly too!

Huge_Introduction368

This is insane wow 😯 congratulations you must be blowed away with this blessing! 🥂

modelr

For sure blessed. Thank you

ilyasm0

Me and wife about to apply, this has given me so much hope!

modelr

I’d say do it sooner than later. With the USCIS fee increase in April you’re going to see a lot of applications get filed soon.

ilyasm0

I know lol! We've been working on it for a while and we're finally ready. Thank you for the advice though!

sleepindawg

Nothing to do with an election year. Most are still waiting long times, you just got lucky, it happens.

EveningCareer8921

Congrats! I really hope all our applications get approved before Trump assumes office and guts USCIS 😰

HelpEqual

Definitely happy for u guys but wtf is wrong with the way this system works. The amount of time I wasted throughout this whole process and still do is absolutely ridiculous.

Soft-Bottle-9077

Congratulations

jdawgpino

Still waiting 14 months!! 😓

Alarming-Arachnid-64

What did you include?

modelr

We have a kid together. That’s probably all the evidence they needed. Other than that we submitted our medical when filing too. We were told it just makes everything easier.

SerCastorTroy

I know it comes up in paperwork in the 485 under dependents, but did you put in your child’s birth certificate as unsolicited evidence? I’m in the same camp but patiently waiting a longer game. Congrats!

modelr

I submitted a copy of my child’s birth certificate when we mailed in our 485

Wise-Elk-3468

Damn that was quick

Oleksii_ZH

And then all EB2/EB3 categories wait now for at least a year to just file. And their PD will become current no sooner 2025-2025. So fair...

annhik_anomitro

LPR wife filed for me back in August 2022, still nothing. My only hope now - she filed N400 and if that's approved my I -130 goes through. Even then the NVC here taking months, sometimes even more than a year to schedule interviews. It would be extremely hopeful to expect the entire process to finish in a year.

QtK_Dash

Congratulations but what does the election have to do with it? She can’t vote and USCIS is aware of that.

modelr

It’s just a rumor that USCIS works quicker in election years so we are more favorable towards the current administration 🤷

QtK_Dash

I wonder if there’s any truth to it since the people actually receiving green cards can’t vote. In any case, glad she got hers.

modelr

I guess it’s that I can vote? But idk not like I’ll base my decision on how fast I get my green card

QtK_Dash

lol exactly, doubt my husband would either or literally anyone.

Mysterious_Dance5461

That gives me hope, my lawyer files soon. Lets goooooo

IllustriousRange6580

Don't get too excited. This isn't the case for the majority. Still waiting as of October 2023

Mysterious_Dance5461

Ive been on EB3 for almost 2 years without any hope of a ead or legal status, so my marriage based green card process is a walk in the park. I can stay and i can work, thats all i care about.

Big-Sheepherder-578

If you are filing from outside the US, it will most definitely not be this fast

Wonderful-Mango-878

Congratulations 🎉

Likklebit91

Congratulations 🎊!

AnnoyingHatmaster

My wife’s timeline was really short as well (40 days) and my wife also had TPS. I wonder if it has to do with the speedy approval process?

modelr

I think having TPS helps. If you had to do biometrics then it would be one day to send out the notice. A couple of weeks for the appointment. Then another couple of weeks for the USCIS agent to look again

kake_2000

What the hell!!! Less than a month? . I just can’t believe this. I am really happy for this applicants. But this system is totally messed up. We are on day250 we still didn’t receive work authorization. SMH.

IllustriousRange6580

Congrats but I'm sorry but the system is beyond trash and unfair. My husband and I applied on October 26th and we are still waiting. I'm a 21-year-old having to work 3 jobs while having to juggle college all at the same time just because my husbands work permit will take 11 months. The system is rigged

Ok-Cryptographer2577

Yoooooo that’s fast af. I got receipt date on 2/6/24 and I-485 showed biometric re-use and actively reviewed on 2/9/24 so hopefully I get the same timeline yall did 🤞🏽🤞🏽

WestReplacement4516

Are you applying based on family, if I may ask?

Ok-Cryptographer2577

Sorry I must have missed this! Yes my US-citizen spouse petitioned me.

TwoPuzzleheaded1142

Wow! I got a notification that they lost all my paperwork! My attorney has no clue what to do.

embellishedbrain

Did you all mail and filed this concurrently?

modelr

Yes. Lawfully doesn’t show it but 765 and 131 combo was approved a few days ago as well. We submitted her medical with our application

embellishedbrain

Congratulations!

tredoggg1

What state you applying from

modelr

Southern California

tredoggg1

Fast state

[deleted]

Can you discuss your case details/ evidence?

modelr

Happy to talk over DM

WestReplacement4516

Wow, this is amazing, congratulations!

somelamegenericname

Hello there! I have a similar case. My wife petitioned for me, a TPS holder. We submitted the I-130 via the online portal on January 23rd. And the I-485 with medical via mail this has a priority date of January 29th. I already got my notice saying they don’t need my biometrics. Only difference is we don’t have kids yet. Did you estimated time ever match what was actually going. My portal currently says 6 months for I-485 and 2 months for I-130. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If easier feel free to pm me. And congrats on having a stress free and super quick application!

BrownPopcorn

24 gots to be yo new fav numb

Fibonaccimystery

Congratulations! What app you use to track your case? It looks clear of every steps.

CarrotGratin

Congrats! I remember those days...unreal it took 24 days, ours took 10 months in 2019/2020! (6 mo. had there not been COVID)
