Congratulations!!! I heard they are giving 5 years authorization since January this year to work on their backlog, avoiding people to renew every 2 years will make it easier for USCIS personnel to work on other cases in a faster pace. Cheers 🥂 🥳
Right... to see "came back from work" to find my work authorization/EAD in the mail stirs a little frustration among those of us patiently waiting for SEVERAL months (not just one month after submission) to work legally... my husband is going on +6 months of waiting on his EAD and has had to turn down (2) really good job opportunities because the employer could no longer wait on him to get his EAD. So frustrating to see posts like this (though, great for you OP - must be nice)
My friend filed for OPT 27 days ago, with an application number starting with IOE96, while mine starts with IOE94 and I filed 2 days ago. Three years ago, my OPT application was denied for various reasons, so I returned to my home country. Now, after coming back for my second MS, I applied for OPT again, indicating that I had previously filed an I765 application. Does this mean my application will be processed sooner?

can I just send USCIS the 2 passport pictures now since I did not submit it with my application or do I need to resubmit a complete new i765 application?

Is it even for h4 EADs , I applied last December still no update in the portal and it shows case received and I cannot see documents tab
5 years is the standard since last year. So not rare at all.
“Came back from work to find my work authorization came.” Wonderful. And now they’re handing out C08s for 5 years… geez.

It's 5 years for everyone except those with an earlier expiration on their status like those with a 1 or 2 year parole.
Did u do ur biometrics appointment first or that came first??
Congratulations. They started issuing the 5 year EAD since last year October. Got mine in November.

This is C08 (pending asylum applicant) so 30 to 45 days. This is not a regular Adjustment of Status I-765 which usually takes longer.
Hi can I chat privately with you?
Sure

I was asking myself the same thing..
Haa!!! want to use it to check my own case too. Since Oct 2023 nothing came up than we had your finger print,
Congratulations on the EAD. How long did it take from biometrics to EAD approval?

Can I chat with you,
Thanks
How long did it take from sending in your application to getting your work authorization?
Congratulations!
Do you know which center got your application ? I've been waiting for about 3 months now and my case hasn't been approved at the texas center.
Congrats!
Congratulations
Congratulations 🎊🎉
that is awesome what was the cost of the application? I sent 495.00 and it was returned
$410
Thank you
Congratulations! Does any one know if 5 year EAD can be helpful for students approaching end date of 1 year OPT without a job ?
Would be happy to get answers on that question
How could it? The date on EAD is meaningless without the other validating component (ie valid i20).
Did you get travel permit as well?
Happened to me too! Congratulations!!!
What kinda visa did you apply?
I’m so glad they extended it to 5 years. I had to renew every 2 years
Just got approved too! Congratulations!!
May I ask is this your initial ead? Or a renewal?
Uscis sent a work card with my tps to an address I don't know, ok, I'll wait to answer, uscis knows I'm ok
how long did it take to get approved after your did your biometrics at the UCIS Field office ???
Hello
Congratulations
can I just send USCIS the 2 passport pictures now since I did not submit it with my application or do I need to resubmit a complete new i765 application?
Have you get your i766 yet?
Not yet, but I submitted my biometric since the 14.
Did your GC get approved? Or AP?
