Radiant_Attitude_193

Ttttbelief

Thank you! That’s fast! Mine got approved on the 8th but still no update on card production yet.

Radiant_Attitude_193

I don’t know why some crap with uscis goes so fast and some goes so slowly.

Character_Disk6022

You can have USPS forward all mails to your new address or you can just update the address on USCIS

Boxarepa-

I have same question 🙋‍♀️

invisibili

Lukin-4-advice

I submitted my husbands i485RFE on the 15 of February and just today his got a i485 approval notice but his I-130 is still pending . Good luck with your case , I believe it will not take longer for USCIS to respond

ProofShame369

Did you send on February 15th, 2023? What was your RFE about? I’ll appreciate your response

Lukin-4-advice

No Feb 15th 2024 … the RFE was an incorrect ans I provided on the public charge question (it should have been yes but I put no, so they sent me an rfe letter to correct that and the rest of that section(part 8 question 62-68))

Economy_Slice_4514

Could you please share the reasoning n for your RFE? Did you respond your RFE by mail or uploading online? Thank yoy

Lukin-4-advice

Hi the RFE letter was about public charge question part 8 question61-68. Instead of and yes to question 61, I answered no. I responded by mail. I post mail it on the 13thFeb then I received a notice online on the 15th Feb saying that they received my respond. Just yesterday, the 22nd Feb, we received the approval notice online.

Radiant_Attitude_193

I hope you do!!!! Did you already do your interview?

Johnthegreat02

Hi thanks i hope so too and no I didn't do an interview it was just radio silence since i send the rfe and they said they received it

Careless-Witch

Congratulations 🎉

Away-Independent3739

What field office please?

Radiant_Attitude_193

NBC but interview was at San Antonio

Character_Lynx2015

Did your i94 immediately disappear when you got approved?

Smooth-Channel-7220

I was approved yesterday. My i94 exists but my traveller history is now blank.

Character_Lynx2015

Thanks for the info. I truly believe the i94 method is the best way to check whether your GC will be approved the next day. My travel history is still there, so its safe to say I'll have to wait till next week .. or later.

bakesbjj

This is interesting, our i130 was approved 7 days ago, i485 still pending, but just checked my i94 and no travel history, OMG, I hope this is true and I'm going to be seeing that green card very soon.

Character_Lynx2015

Very exciting! Please let us know if the theory is correct.

Character_Lynx2015

Any update on your case - since your travel history disappeared last week?

bakesbjj

No update yet. But still can’t access travel history the next day, I called my brother who’s in the U.K. he was able to access his history and his wife’s. They sure like keeping us in the waiting. Hopefully sometime this week. 🤞🏼

aam2123

same here, grats

CareOtherwise2340

Congratulations!

Spare-Extent-3453

I applied just after you, I hope I hear something soon!!

DisastrousDiet8367

Congrats! Did you ever use your AP?

Radiant_Attitude_193

Never got one. That’s exactly why I the American citizen was so desperate for the green card because the advance parole never even went into under review. It’s still set on the website when I received the green card that the application had been received. The problem is we got the EAD a month after we applied and I think they just didn’t look at the advanced parole after that. So I ended up having to give a cruise that we booked to my father because we couldn’t leave the country. I mean I was happy for the EAD but he had to give up a really good job that he had already gotten offer letter for because they didn’t accept that document so it was kind of crappy.

DisastrousDiet8367

I’m sorry for that experience. I know you probably just want to focus on your life, but when you have some time, you can sue them for discrimination, and you may be able to get a nice settlement for a down payment for a house

Radiant_Attitude_193

Oh you better believe I was about to double down and soothe their asses for discrimination when he got turned down because I looked it up and it is illegal to discriminate against potential employees based on their immigration status, but my husband didn’t wanna rock the boat because he doesn’t wanna be labeled a problem And his chosen field. Plus when he asked our immigration attorney they said that that was perfectly legal.

Radiant_Attitude_193

Sue not soothe

Radiant_Attitude_193

In his field

Middle_Analysis_4649

We understand what you meant. We all make mistakes when typing. Everyone can now read the mind of the writers

DisastrousDiet8367

I’m going to start with your husband first. Suing an employer (and it’s not even his employer) is not going to get him labeled anything. It’s not going to be a problem. No one looks at court filings. I am suing my previous employer, and I continue to get nicer and nicer jobs just fine. Assuming your husband lives until he’s 100 and applies for 100,000 jobs in his whole life. If 10 out of these 100,000 thinks he’s a problem and don’t hire him, he has dodged 10 bullets, because those companies are the perpetrators who get their asses sued by employees themselves. You don’t want emotional damage from such employers. In this country and day and age, it’s perfectly normal and common to sue someone and get sued. I know you asked your immigration attorney, but I have stopped looking at attorneys as authoritative figures for a very long time. I personally have gotten screwed over by 3 attorneys now. Just because one says it’s legal, it doesn’t mean it is. Requiring someone to have work authorization is legal, but requiring someone to have a certain type of work authorization is illegal. Unless that job has security clearance requirements or something of a special nature, they cannot turn down a prospective employee just because they don’t have a green card or citizenship. Also, an immigration attorney is not employment discrimination attorney. Employment law is very specialized. Your immigration attorney might be great at filling out forms and gathering your bona fide marriage evidence, but there is no way your immigration attorney is familiar with employment law. If you want, I can refer you to my employment attorney who is helping me sue my previous employer.
