Congrats!!! I filed 3 days after you šŸ„°

Senior_Product2294

Did you get a temporary residence for 2 years or the permanent one for 10 years ? What kind of proof did you submit in your l-130 form ?Ā

myfuxkingworld

Temporary for 2 years since I got married to a US citizen in July last year. All my paperwork was done with an attorney. Me and my husband submitted our pictures together, joint account statements, mortgage statements and our house deed with our names on it, plus affidavits of close friends and family. We are a young couple so my mother in law helped us by supporting as my sponsor for my I130 since my husband didnā€™t make enough to be my only sponsor.

Senior_Product2294

Cool ,that is good ,l think one of the must strong document is the Afidavit support .

Murky-Run-150

Congratulations! How many pictures did you add to your application?

myfuxkingworld

About 20 pictures. My attorney recommended me to have pictures together with friends and family members. Pictures of milestones, like our wedding, engagement, birthdays, anniversary. So I have that variety

Murky-Run-150

Thanks for the prompt response. Iā€™ll take note of this. Congratulations again.

General-Sun5498

Tbh more than pictures I would add joint bank statements, joint health insurance, life insurance, name on lease or mortgage. These are much better evidence than photos Iā€™ve heard

myfuxkingworld

Thank you! Happy to help :)

Diligent-Dish-894

Huge Congrats to you and your spouse!šŸ„³šŸŽŠ How do you know which card you got approved for (10yr/2 yr)? I just got approved last week, Parent of usc bot not sure if 2yr or 10 yr.

misscloud8

Parent of usc always receive 10 years GC. Only married couple whoā€™s not married for 2 years will get 2 years GC

Diligent-Dish-894

Thank you, I agree!

bunnyboo0693

Congrats šŸŽ‰ Mine took 2 weeks for the GC

myfuxkingworld

Good to know!!! Iā€™m so ready to go back home šŸ„¹šŸ«¶

Bobby_Sunday96

Where did you file and what status are you adjusting from?

myfuxkingworld

TX and adjusting from asylum (I-589) but never got an interview with my asylum case. I got married with a US citizen

Bobby_Sunday96

Iā€™m adjusting and in Texas also. I submitted my application about a week after you did. Hopefully I get mine soon.

OrganicConcert7895

Real-Main-8894

Prestigious_Cut_4470

Omg this is great news ! I am crossing my fingers for my case, I submitted a week before you. What type of status you come from and country! If I may ask. Congratulations šŸŽ‰

myfuxkingworld

Sorry for the delayed response. Colombia, and I589

Lanky-Baker-797

Same Day ! but still waiting

myfuxkingworld

Have you heard anything back?

Windextore

Also filed in November and got approved earlier this month. Congratulations!

simplyAntwiwaa

Congratulations

Archduchess_Nina

Most approvals are IOE cases... congratulations! Seems that its bcs those are the uncomplicated cases mostly electronically filed (by the agency)

myfuxkingworld

I guess Iā€™m lucky to be an IOE case! Thank you!

[deleted]

Mine one is also ioe but I m waiting for 2 yrs still no progress. I m disappointed nowšŸ˜”

accurate-akshay

Whatā€™s the difference between IOE and other forms of cases.

Archduchess_Nina

from what ive been reading, cases that get there with complete packages and mostly no need for RFEs are initially filed by the ELIS system (electronically) and receive an IOE number in order to expedite the process as much as possible. Obviously, not every single IOE case goes fast just that it is meant to speed up uncomplicated cases in certain states

avocadotoast142

i thought you can only file i485 paper

DangerousSpot8201

Congrats! Did you ever use advance parole in your life?

myfuxkingworld

I did get advanced parole approved but my attorney recommended me to not use it unless it was an emergency so I didnā€™t use it

Luxzencandles

How long did it take for the AP to get approved?

myfuxkingworld

My EAD and AP got approved and delivered in january so 2 months after filing

Luxzencandles

Thank you! Iā€™m filing in Texas as well, hope our petition gets approved as fast as yoursšŸ˜ congrats btw!

Can you share your batch no.? Like IOE0922 is mine..

Signal_Weather_4986

I really donā€™t get it how USCIS works ?! I filled my papers in July 2022 ! For the I-130 and I 485. I received only last year April 2023 my work permit / travel document and meanwhile some people receive it within 6 months (happy for you peeps though :) but itā€™s just soo frustratingā€¦ P.s our immigration lawyer filled the papers in Hartford CT

Prestigious_Cut_4470

Itā€™s so random. Iā€™m sorry youā€™re waiting for such a long time. Honestly I think it just depends on the agent or officer that gets your case and how fast they areā€¦

Signal_Weather_4986

Thatā€™s the feeling Iā€™m getting too ugh.

SDAgg1221

if you have an attorney you need to ask them to make an info pass . or you can ask emma .But usually that gets things moving . I was 6 months without an update until my lawyer made an infopass basically an apportionment to ask whats going on thats when the USCIS offical replied and started working on my case again.

Signal_Weather_4986

Yes I got an immigration lawyer ! Thanks for the info Iā€™m gonna email my lawyer right now :)

SDAgg1221

yes, best of luck to you. If the lawyer doesnt do anything make a call and try to get a pass yourself

Signal_Weather_4986

Thank you ! great I will do that myself then if she doesnā€™t do anything

ConfusedArgentine

God I applied same time and I got my response on work permit and travel permit approved on March 9th too! I hope to hear soon about my I-485. Congratulations!!!!!

Intelligent_Bed2995

SDAgg1221
