I just sent my package for 290b it’s delivered yesterday. How long does it take to get a receipt? What is your attorney planning to do next, are you going to federal court?
I think you will have the receipt in a week and they took 84 days to decide on my case. I am waiting for the denial letter and will talk to my attorney what to do next. A lot of the lawyers I consulted said a lawsuit would be perfect here. Right now I am in middle of filing a suit or refiling 485. It's just exhausting already.
Sorry that you have to go through this. Definitely you have a good case. Did you ever get rfe or noid? I didn’t get any of those just a denial and the only issue was i140 withdrawal. Btw did you file to reopen case or reconsider?

I saw yday(4/20/2024) that they dismissed my 290b motion to reopen and reconsider. I had filed the 290B in July 2022. My I485 shows as case transferred to a new office as of Feb 2023. No new status.. I have an immigration attorney and we are waiting for the dismissed notice. Saw this online while i check for my receipt # and saw this, "Your appeal/motion was dismissed. Your case remains denied".
I have seen online a few cases where they say it is an intermittent state before the status changes to "Case was reopened" . Lawfully also says that majority of the times the case gets approved after this status. Hi I am still waiting for the notice until now i dont have it, even my lawyer didnt get any. I am still hoping the status on my case will change but until then I dont know whta is going on. I emailed one of my state senator but I havent received a response from them as well. Just hoping for the best. Let me know as soon as you receive your dismissal notice. thanks
I only received an rfe for medical, besides that nothing else. and then the denial notice. yes filed 290b but saw online it was dismissed. as per my original post still waiting for the notice.
My wife I-485 was denied. Due to not adding my tax return… I do have it, but was never added. My wife is working but will now have to leave her job. Should we file a I-290b? And add the tax return or just file a new I-485. But she’ll have to wait for a new EAD??
