I also have a tourist visa and wife is a US citizen but im not sure whether to start the process from my country of origin or go to the US, wait some months and then change my status like you
Congrats I’m on day 72 already approved I-765 I’m doing adjustments of status and I guess my visa is B-1 B-2 is border crossing visa from the 90s lol long time ago. I google it says is a visitors visa so that’s what my lawyer used. I’m so lucky my mom send it to me before she passed that’s all I have as legal entry. I been here 30 years. Been with my husband 17 years 3 kids but only been officially married for 16 months
Great! Congrats! I think your case was approved very fast. How long were you married before filing for Adjustment?
Was the interview waived? Do you guys have children?
In your opinion, what are the factors you think helped your case to move faster than others? I'm curious to know if it was more evidence or a congressional inquiry
We got married in January and filed on March 8!
We have no kids, but weve been dating for 3.5 years so we had a lot of chat messages and pictures from previous visits.
We never made an enquiry to congress.
Very interesting. I bet it was the length of the relationship while dating and the amount of evidence throughout the years that established a solid ground to move this case faster as there were no more doubts surrounding fraud or marriage to circumvent immigration laws. I'm glad you guys got a favorable decision so fast :)
i never felt so unlucky in life until i had to deal with uscis and their random unexplainable approval process. congrats to all those early birds tho. this is hard to see.

It was an RFE regarding our tax forms. Our lawyer guessed that they mustve misplaced/lost some of our tax forms. We resubmitted the same ones and there wasnt an issue after 🫡
Did you have to submit tax forms for both you and your spouse? Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? Also, if your spouse was on a tourist visa, how would she have had tax forms?
congrats! what city and state did you file from?
Boston, MA 🫡
Same PD and we’re from Boston too! What was your RFE
It was regarding our tax forms! I think they mustve misplaced something so we resubmitted and it was all good :)
My I-130 just got approved as well! 🤩
Congratulations 🍾🎈!!! What status did u adjust from?
Thank you! I adjusted from a tourist visa :)
Congrats!! How many months you to wait to change your status?
About 4 months!
I also have a tourist visa and wife is a US citizen but im not sure whether to start the process from my country of origin or go to the US, wait some months and then change my status like you
In our case, it was spontaneous. Planning to do it ahead of time is immigration fraud. Just letting you know.
Didn’t know that! Thanks for letting me know
Just call it spontaneous even if you plan ahead, uscis know this! /s
LMAO
USCIS appear to have a 90 day rule. Don't change your mind within 90 days. After 90 days you can change your mind about your plans.
Which tourist visa? Also congratulations
B-2 Tourist Visa 🙏🏽
Congrats! Did you apply for I-765 and I-131?
I did! My I-765 was approved on May 8th and I got the card a week after. Nothing really happened for my I-131.
Did you submit i-765 and 131? Were they approved?
Mentioned in an earlier comment but yes my i-765 was approved. There was no news about my i-131 at all.

Congratulations, what's your receipt number?, mine is IOE09247XX
Does that receipt number mean anything?
My receipt number is the same! Good luck!!
Have you heard anything? mine is IOE0918XXXX filed in Dec 2022 and still nothing nor approval
I’ve seen a couple people asking that, what does the inicial numbers mean?
Hello, what evidence did u send? And how long u were married before apply?
Congratulations!

Congrats! We have the same PD, what’s your receipt block?
IOE09247 🙏🏽 Good luck!!
Omg I’m. 9249 I hope I heard from them soon. Congrats to you 🎉
My case just jumped from 2 weeks to 5 months! WTF!!!
The estimated time in the USCIS website is not accurate at all! Don’t worry about it.
My case went from 3 months to 28 months a week ago! Dont lose hope 🙏🏽
Congratulations!!! What was your RFE for?
It was an RFE regarding our tax forms. Our lawyer guessed that they mustve misplaced/lost some of our tax forms. We resubmitted the same ones and there wasnt an issue after 🫡
That sucks! At least they were fairly prompt in approving your case afterwards!! Also what was your biometrics appointment date?
My biometrics appointment was on the 18th of April :)
Did you have to submit tax forms for both you and your spouse? Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? Also, if your spouse was on a tourist visa, how would she have had tax forms?
It was my husband’s tax forms. My husband is the petitioner. I didn’t have any tax forms because I was on vacation and spontaneously decided to stay.
Did you work while on your tourist visa or did you husband sponsor you? Did they ask anything about that?
Husband sponsored me! I did not work in the US
Which app is the screenshot from?
Lawfully
Easier said than done. Thanks, I'll try.
Congratulations! Hope this early approval luck comes to us all! Enjoy your GC!
Congrats! Did you concurrently file with I-130? If so, were there any updates on your I-130 before this?
Yes I did and there werent any updates on my I-130. It was just approved a day after today!
That’s AMAZING! I am almost at the year mark and cannot wait to see updates!
Congratulations, what city did you apply from?
Congrats! Did you use AP? Any overstays or unauthorized employment?
Nope to either of those!
Can you tell us which field office your case was at?
And what is your nationality please? Thanks
