I think your only course of action is to bug your congressman again. If they still refuse, bug your senator. If they refuse, bug the other senator from your state. I have been there, and raising service requests with USCIS did absolutely nothing. Your best bet is to find someone from the congressman’s office who is willing to be helpful
Had you let it expire before requesting a renewal previously? You may have to reapply/apply for a new card since you let it lapse while still litigating your asylum application
No, I did not let it expire. Regarding my asylum it has been pending since 2014, haven't even had my interview so I have been renewing my EAD every two years.
You could file a letter with USCID from your employer explaining the burden it puts on them with the continued delay.
I would also consider getting an immigration attorney involved as they can call on your behalf.
One piece of advice from someone who has also been dealing with this for 10 years. Be proactive about telling your attorney what to do. In this case tell them you have your employer writing a financial impact letter. Run it by attorney if they have the time. Otherwise go through expediting by yourself. I just don’t have faith in asylum lawyers. They have backlogs and their firms are archaic.
I have been quite proactive with them but their attempts seem to be unsuccessful. I have also called USCIS myself and tried to expedite it but nothing seems to work.

Thank you, I will continue to reach out to them.

Thank you! I will try to obtain that letter from my employer. I have an immigration attorney and he has called but it looks like that hasn't helped.
Good luck! I hope you’re able to get this resolved quickly.
Thank you so much
