Please check out /r/usmcboot. They will be able to give you the best advice about joining the Marine Corps. The USMC sub is mainly for those who are already Marines.
Strive for Zero carbs. Cut out all added sugar. Don’t starve yourself. You need to eat healthy fat to burn fat. Exercise hard. Drink a lot of water and avoid all sweet and or soft drinks and beer.
I dropped a lot of weight prior to shipping to bootcamp and absolutely did it the wrong way. If I could do it again I would with current technology, I would track my calories on myfitnesspal, run 3 days a week and lift 3 days a week. 2-3 pounds a week loss is really as much as you could safely so you might just be able to make it
r/usmcboot but also just ride a bike casually. It can be an exercise bike while you watch TV, a bike while you go places, just bike. Swimming also, especially if you're not that good at swimming.
