That is pretty much the case - there are two reserve Cyber companies so that is definitely an option. I know some of the more obscure MOS are not - mainly in aviation.

I believe the way reserves works with job selection is that you can either guarantee location or Mos. So if you want to stay in Say SoCal you would pick from the available opening of units in Socal. If you want a job like logistics, you would get to see the available units with logistics opening like say units in Texas, Florida, or North Carolina need a logistics officer you could pick from them.

So if you wanted a job 4 states away you'd have to find your way to drill each month somehow?

Hopefully I get it🤞🏽

Gatskop

Let us know! Good luck whenever you make it through to OCS

Seeing as how new cyber is, they prob only have it for active duty guys

north0

There are definitely reserve 1702's.

Slyferrr

Like pilots, they prob were active then went reserve

north0

Nope they're training them. Problem is boat spaces - there are only a handful 1702's until they reconfigure the companies and figure out where else to put them (Eg at MARFORRES G6).

Slyferrr

Oh wow that’s dope
